It's a german instructional video for forklift operators from the 80's.
I never knew forklifts were such deathmachines... I really recommend you watch the whole thing.

 Wow the germans really know how to make a point!

Seriously though, I was driving a forklift before I was driving a car and if you don't know what your doing or are careless, they can be deadly. My brother-in-law was driving a forklift at a sheetmetal yard. He had only been there a few weeks and a guy with 30 years on the job jumped on the forks and asked him to give him a ride across the yard. Well he figured who was he to argue with someone who had been around that long, so off they went. About halfway there the guy slipped off the forks and my brother-in-law ran over him. His left leg was so crushed they had to amputate it. I myself have made the error of neglecting to lower my load while transporting it accross the yard and have almost flipped over going around a corner. One moment of carelessness can have lasting consequences.

Ouch...
Yeah those things can be dangerous.
I worked at a gasplant where I saw a guy run a 40 kg gas cointainer through with one of those forks by accident.

I guess no one has the patience to watch the video in german, they probably gave up before all the cool effects. The guy impaled on the forks with the chainsaw in his hands was my personal favorite.

I remember when I worked at Tesco, there was a big sign up that said "Danger! Forklifts operating in this area!" I never saw one forklift the whole time I was there.

There was also a sign that said "Do not climb into the waste compactor!" which I thought was kinda funny.

Yes, but forklifts are invisible death machines that swoop at out from nowhere and cut you to pieces.

And it's educational...Now you know never to come near a forklift ever again.

A friend's mother had her toe completely crushed when a forklift ran it over. She won a lawsuit, however forklifts are still dangerous and out there. Something should be done.

The only thing missing is a scene where a teenage girl bares her breasts for a werewolf...

Yep. I hold a (now expired) electric counterbalance license. Fork lift trucks are about the most dangerous things you can drive, especially in the context of being in a warehouse full of people.

Actually, that's not so far from the truth. You only need to step out of an aisle without looking and *wham* - 3000kg of solid brick with forks at the front is on top of you.

If you absolutely have to be near a fork lift, the safest place is directly behind it - with the driver well aware that you are there. ;>

It won't work.
