I'm a guy. I have long hair. Which do you think is better for a guy to have, long hair or short hair?

long hair is sexy on a guy!

very few guys look good with long hair. this is mostly because they tend to not take good care of it, and can't style it to save their lives. nothing is grosser than long, lank, oily, hair, unless it's that same hair being pulled back into a greasy ponytail and called "style."

Brad Pitt can have long hair. Mel Gibson can have long hair. A very few select musicians and rock gods can have long hair. if you aren't one of these, you prolly should cut it.

It depends on the guy, and, as Bottle said, how much time they're willing to spend on it. Guys that just let their long, all the same length hair hang, droop, and flop, should not have long hair. If a guy actually puts time into his hair, it can look good. It also depends on the guy's facial features...some people look better with longer hair than others.

I have medium-length hair. It is not long, because I can't be bothered to perform any styling that can't be done in twenty seconds with a comb, and it's not short, because I have sticky-outy ears.

I also can't be bothered to get my hair cut more than once per year.

I have neither really short hair nor pony-tail length hair, more like stoner-length hair but without the curls.

Depends on the guy or girl. Long hair suits some faces and bodies, mid length suits others, short suits yet others, and bald suits yet more.

As mentioned above actual care and grooming habits may effect the suitability.

Personally I had mine long in college, mostly due to laziness. Looking back, it was bad.
I had my head shaved, mostly as a matter of convenience, until recently. Close cut (white walls, if you know what that is) is what looks good on me.

Long hair seems llike something few guys can really pull off effectively. Just a thought.

I'd look stupid with long hair and there's the problem of washing all that hair. 8)

Shaved heads are the way to go. Let the brain breathe.

Purple and pointy.

Dreads are the way to go... the ultimate convienience, you only have to wash your hair like once every 3 days and you never have to style it.

I keep my hair short, because I'm to lazy to take care of it long. I've worn it both ways (even shaved), and Long is just too much work.

Mine hasn't been cut more than half an inch for about four years, now. I just don't like the idea of having short hair, even if it is easier to take care of.

I like men with long hair, but unlike Bottle, I don't believe a boy has to be Brad Pitt to pull it off. Just wash it every day and it's fine. They don't have to get expensive haircuts and spend lots of time washing it. I like a longish bowl cut the best...

Depends how long. If we are talking pony-tail long, then definately not. But if it is medium-long, then it depends on the guy. Some guys look dumb with long hair, others look reeeeeeeealy good :D

I dunno, I'm growing my hair out at the moment, mainly due to an aversion to the hairdresser.

I like the way it feels, I don't know how good it looks.

Very short hair tends to make one look somewhat thuggish. Insofar as I can while only having one haircut a year, I attempt to look as intellectual as possible. I went to the opticians a few months ago, and discovered that my eyesight is still fine, which was a bit of a disappointment, as I'm sure I'd look even more aloof if I had glasses. Oh well.

Long hair is passe in business....we left the topknots and ponytails in the 80's...most know that short hair is back in...hence the military haircuts I see constantly.

i've just always liked the 70s and 80s style long hair

Heh. When I was shaving my head, I used to tell my two beast freinds, who both have buzz cuts, to "Get a haircut, hippy!"
When I started growing it back, Bob taught some of my students that, and now I hear it about once a week. :lol: (It was even better when a student said it to me while I was with another teacher, Tom, who really is a long hair hippy freak. The expression on Tom*s face was priceless!)

I'm a guy, and I like my hair longer. But it is curly and ends up being an afro. I wouldn't like it if it hung down.

i like guys with longer hair..either that kind of flippy, messy rock star hair or fried water-polo-player hair. both are good.

I'm trying to grow it a bit longer right now, and see how it suits me.

I have short cropped military hair..I figure that way a woman has to pay attention to what I say instead of the way my hair looks...no distractions that way.

wOO..wOOO..not only can I be considered cute...but no muss no fuss either for me in the mornings..

Personaly i love my long hair. It's great to be able to dress up like the crow and it does not take too much in the way of brushing it ,(as you've probably guessed it looks far better on me than short hair), the only annoying thing is that girls always want to play with it

yeah, totally! and the same goes for a shaved head - not all guys can cut it. so to speak :wink:

I've got pretty long (ginger) hair that looks fine as long as it's flat. I don't have to do anything in the way of styling either - just wake up and it's fine. Gotta admit, I do wear a hat a lot of the time though.. just a nice blank, black hat ;D. I don't really like short hair, especially military-style crew cuts.

I had sweet hippie rawkstar hair. Then, like a week ago, some a**holes cut my hair in my sleep. Now it sucks. But it'll grow, better then ever. It will look sweeeeet.

I agree, it depends on how the hair cut works with the face.
