Cardboard boxes- if you've got any old packing material in your garage, throw it at the child and let it tear it to pieces. Hard work, destructive, and after a few moments dull enough that the mood will end.

Thermonuclear explosives are not a wise substitute material for cardboard, and neither are moving juggernauts.
