Kofi Annan of the United Nations chaperons a field trip for the Democratic senators of the 108th Congress. The location of the trip is the Black Hills in South Dakota site of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Senate minority leader Tom Daschle is happier than a pig in sh*t because he lives nearby and is eager to tell the others just how great the trip is going to be. You know, kind of like watching a movie for the first time with an eight year old that has already seen it.

Side note: Because Senator Zell Miller is an adult; he does the cool rebellious thing and writes his own note to Mr. Annan, excusing his absence from the field trip.

As a "right-winger" - which translated by the Left means anyone who has faith and/or believes in a limited government being better for freedom - I'd say that I got 6 positive responses thus far.

It's an unfair question, I know, but then again so are many of the issues that I feel compelled to dismiss on a daily basis. Today was a good day; I chose three out of four issue stances because they weren't that cheesy for a change.

I am liberal, but i find this quite witty. It's good to be able to laugh at yourself once in a while.

A clogged server and a dial-up connection don't go well together!

I have to laugh at myself too at times when the humor is presented well and with biting sarcasm. Case in point: as a Christain I felt compelled to laugh at the points an author made in this written letter to Dr. Laura (http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/drlaura.asp). Now I had already known that Jesus was never quoted as saying anything regarding homosexuality but this letter shows (IMHO) that maybe not all of the bible - and paticularly the O.T. - may have been the inspired word of God.

For the record, I too am a Liberal...in the classical sense of the word as suggested by Milton Friedman. It's the people much like today's "progressives" that hijacked the word many years ago. And since when is having government perpetuate more of a dependence on it a progressive thing?

How do you know what the left thinks? Are YOU the left, ahem.. didn't think so.. many of us just see the right wing as all encompassing.. as in trying to force your values down the rest of our throats.. perhaps the left (as you put it) thinks that people no matter what you believe feels that we have a mind to choose.. and that no one should have the right to tell you what you should, or shouldn't have a right to believe.. That's what freedom is about after all.. :)

Really! So the left is all about choice? How about school choice through voucher or "below the line" tax credits? How about Social Security choice on whether or not an individual can opt into a private account? How about keeping an all volunteer force and not supporting compulsory service? How about letting markets work rather than artificialy propping up businesses in distress (although admittingly the Right does this too)? How about not setting minimum wage rates which leads to more unemployment?

Shall I go on with my examples, Game Moderator :?: :!: :P
