Yes, I am thrilled to say that the relaxation of air-quality controls has really kickstarted things. Much has been accomplished, but there is still so much more to be done. I mean, the latest data still indicates that SOME Americans are still not living in unsafe smog! (http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20040429/ap_on_re_us/smog_report_1)
How can that be?
Surely the "greatest nation on earth" can deliver this feature to all of it's residents can it not? All men being created equal and all that?
But the good news is that you're over half way there now. With a little extra effort and four more years of GW we have been assured that this number will climb closer to 70% over the next four years.
So please, remember to do your part. Buy an SUV, and remove the catalytic converter. And ensure that your local power company expands ALL of their coal burning plants under the new "emmissions? what emmissions?" rules.
It's your duty to ensure that no child is left without asthma!
