Considering the Americas make up most of the land in the western hemisphere (although some of western Europe/Africa and a few small islands are there too) and America was only discovered by the eastern hemisphere continents in 1642, I highly doubt they hated the west for 'thousands of years'

This war has been completly mishandled from the reconstruction process onwards.

We should never have maintained a prescence in the city's. We should also not have disbanded the police force, and the mail service, and every other service provided by government (they were all required to join the baath party in order to be gov employees).

We should take Donald Rumsfeld out back and have him shot, he has micromanaged our troops to levels that aren't sustainable. Now we need about 4 times the number of troops we presently are maintaining there and nobody is comming to our aid to assist us in the situation.

Not to mention that the war was stupid, we had no business going there since the UN destroyed all their weapon capabilities with the first round of inspections and the sanctions destroyed most of their infastructure. The only reason terrorists took up base there was because Saddam wasn't able to project air power into the areas because of the no-fly zone.

All in all the whole thing was a bungled mess.

oh yes bush has done a great job.

the worst month just happened w/ 129 dead soldiers. Great job. How's he plan on getting us out? he didnt have a plan. He endorsed Sen. Kerry's plan lol.. what great leader bush is.... kinda like Hitler, can start a war just cant finish

If he had to go fight his own battles, he would never have invaded Iraq.

How many unnecesary dead GI's in Iraq? How many unnecessary wounded GI's? How many innocent Iraqis dead?

Answer: 1 was TOO many.

Good Job?: NOT

Well...up to now I opposed both the war and the subsequent occupation with a vehemence. However with that many exclamation marks in a post, I realised that I didn't have a leg to stand on and changed my views entirely. Go Bush, etc.

Now that the exclamation mark count has been slashed back to a mere three, I've lost all interest and will now revert back to my old position.

There was this little thing called the Crusades, we kind of invaded them, repetitavely. If you read some history you'd find it was the Muslim countries during the Middle Ages who were more tolerant and scientifically advanced/ It was us mush-head Western Christians who hated everyone.

Depends on what you mean by "In Power"..and it depends on what you mean by any better...

the current President..A Fellow named Karzai....who just happened to work for Bush's Oil Buddy.....is handling the job.
Current thing is.....the regional warlords who have the militias....they have a nice deal struck with the US.

they get to keep growing their opium.....Karzai gets left alone.

Guess where the opium ends up?

i think that bush had the right idea about going into Iraq, but he should have pushed the "get saddam cuz he is a evil dictator" as his decision to go to iraq, not the WMD side.

His biggest mistake was not to wait for a joint-UN operation.

Bush would never have gotten an endorsement from the UN because the UN inspectors couldn't find any WMD.

When he gets re-elected

Re-elected? When was he ever elected by the people in the first place!? So its not 're-elected' but 'when he fixes another election', or better yet "when his daddy fixes another election for him".

The Crusades were started by the church, true, and they did have a serious problem with the 'infidel' but the Muslim countries were not all sweetness and light. It was their attacking the Byzantine empire which started the proceedings anyway (and the capture of Jerusalem, if I remember correctly.)
