I would like to inquire into the sell of this region.

I recently, Wednesday, took a test on the Harrapa for my Mathematics in Non-European Cultures class. I think it's interesting, and ironic, this nation is up for sell around the same time.

I would like it for sentimental value.

Just TG me if I'm the decision you make.

What kind of class is that?
What would Harrapa have to do with a math class?
And if you did have to do a test on it, then you must have studied it, so I would like to know what you know about the ancient city state of Harrapa.

What kind of class is that? It's a math history-type class that relates everyday practices of different ethnic groups to mathematics. Here is my professor's web site (http://marauder.millersville.edu/~xcatepil/index.html), if you scroll down, it says 102 = Math in Non-European Cultures.

The Harrapa had some pretty elaborate types of pottery design and other geometric designs throughout their culture.

The Harrapa civilization was located in the Indus Valley, present day India and Pakistan region. They quickly developed urban-esque cities for the time period, and their populations rose, as people from the local area joined with them to form new villages.

Pottery and other objects began to take on a more regional look. Since each region in Harrapa was limited to those that lived there, each piece of artwork was focused on where it was made. These techniques of regional artwork still exist in Southern India today.

Eventually, like all cultures do, they died off during the unity of Mesopotamia int he 1900 BC-era. Today, Harappa is still studied by archaeologists because there is now evidence that Pakistani and Indian culture still use pottery techniques, without actually realizing it, when they do those types of craft.

What do you know about their political system?
And their sanitation systems?

What do you know about their political system?
Towns were placed at the crossroads of major routes throughout the country, all the government was connected via these towns. Social stratification took place, but there was a reliability on everyone in the society to do the work for everyone else. It was very collectivist in nature.

And their sanitation systems?
Most houses were built with two stories. They had a bathing area that took place of the shower/bath system we have today in the modern Western world. Since cities were well planned, by their governments, it was easy to create a city-wide drainage system.

Note: These aspects are only the overview of what I learned in class. I don't claim to be an expert on the Harappa, but it's nice to know this knowledge has a purpose somewhere. :D
