I've seen this everywhere on NS except between space RP countries (and they generally don't interact with anyone but other space RP countries).
What is with all you people who won't fight wars or anything unless the tech is strictly modern? It is unrealistic and a crutch for people who arn't creative enough to think how to deal with higher tech stuff than their own.
Since you're so devoted to 'modern' technology, perhaps you'll notice that in the MODERN world, there are countries at many different tech levels using a wide variety of equipment.
Stop locking things into your preconcieved worldview and instead look at your opponent's stuff and think of ways to deal with it with your tech. Higher tech doesn't automatically make people invincible, after all.
