Just out of curiosity now, what if someone hacked into NS and gave himself Admin powers and was able to DEAT all of the Mods and remove all of the other Admins? Would we be completely screwed or what?

Darn it... there goes all my hopes and dreams.

You could remove the admin's name from the mod center though. I think...But not the original administrator. Only that one could remove themselves. Or Max, maybe. One of them, anyhoo.

What if such a person DEATS every single nation he can and deletes all posts? How big a headache would that cost you guys?

Heh, see, thing is, Forum Mods can't appoint new forum mods or DEAT folks. And a GM's nation has no bearing on whether or not that GM can access the mod centre, revive their nation, and then proceed to modbomb the crapola out of the guy that did it. (As was noted in the "Bastard NS Moderator From Hell" thread.) And a lowly forum mod's access is tied to their nation existing.

As for getting at the mod centre... well, let's just say that has absolutely no connection to the forums whatsoever, and that the Powers That Be (aka- Max) could rectify the situation very rapidly, should the need ever arise. :evil:

I have a question. That picture of Max at the book signing, where it says that there are two mods, can you tell me which mods are there so I can have a better chance of pairing a face with a name?

And a lowly forum mod's access is tied to their nation existing.

So then a forum mod has no acess to the mod center?
