I would also note that violence is not limited to the physical kind. The psychological violence that accompanies the killing and oppression is often just as destructive.

Would have thought that the ancient Jews could have been the originators of ethnic cleansing, given their efforts to exterminate the other inhabitants of the 'promised land".

Europeans did not 'invent' nationalism, ethnic cleansing, foreign invasion, organised violence, murder, rape, infanticide, authoritarian government, dictatorship, war, etc. All these things and many more are just the human condition. What Europe has at least tried to do for the last 50 years or so is try to avoid repeating its violent history and try to set some kind of progressive examples to the least fortunate of nations.
And yes, I know, much of it has failed, and much has been mis-managed, but todays Europe is vastly superior in its moral efforts than at any time in its long history.

Actually, the Asians created everything, they populated everywhere else.

Many of the features of today's modern civilization can be traced directly to the nation currently occupied by troops from European countries, or their descendents (the US). I refer of course to Iraq.

Urban communities, "permanent" agriculture, the plow, writing, mathematics to name a few.

Middle Eastern, not European.
