he was elected by the majority of the voters and after one term he even got reelected by a majority. So the majority decided that he was not a traitor at all.

Bush on the other hand got elected by a minority...

Who used paid agitators and police to steal an election he actually lost?
Who enriched himself and his pals at the cost of ruining the economy?
Who lied in his teeth to justify an unnecessary war?
Who cut back personal liberties for US citizens?
Who refuses to answer candid questions?
Who has turned the US into a debtor country with a huge trade and budget deficit, just like a 3rd world nation?

Who is the traitor?

Who has turned the US into a debtor country with a huge trade and budget deficit, just like a 3rd world nation?
This is a particularly outrageous thing to blame Bush on.

Why is a trade deficit a particularly outrageous thing to blame Bush on?

Because it was, IIRC, started under Bush Sr., then grew to huge numbers by Clinton, and now Bush has it. Its unfair to say that the Presidents can have much direct impact on it, however by Bush allowing the dollar to weaken he has done much more to cut the deficit in the long term than the (many) administrations before him that kept the dollar artificially strong.

Moreover, Bush can't decide what consumers want and don't want, really. Its not like he presents a "Trade Budget" to Congress and overtrades so he ends up with a huge deficit.

Ah, I see. I wouldn't call it "outrageous" though. I figured that you were going to bust out something about how it's all Clinton's fault. I was bracing for impact.

No, not really, but the way he said it was outrageous made me think he was going to bust out something on how it's all Clinton's fault somehow, and I was just getting ready to be astounded.

Without either generalizations or rhetoric, the term traitor in this forum should be specific to its meaning and evaluation.
