I was thinking of possibly doing a Masters in Criminology and I was wondering if anyone on these forums might have experience in that field? If you do, I'd like to hear from you about what its like.

I'm required to take 4 courses in criminology for my major, starting next quarter. I'd guess you've already taken a few courses on the subject, but if you haven't taken any yet, I can tell you what I know about it in 5 weeks.

Cool. I'm doing a BA in English so I haven't actually done anything criminology related- here in the UK we just study one subject for the three years of our undergrad degree unlike the system in the US and other countries.
I just happened to be looking for possible Masters degrees to do after I finish next June and criminology seemed interesting. So since I'm sure I'll get the results to qualify, I thought it might be good to try and get some first hand info.

I would check out the websites for major grad schools and see (a) what they offer and (b) what background they look for academically.
The big thing these days is forensics, it's a hot topic. This requires lab science background which you may need to brush up on.

Well the Uni I'm currently attending (Leicester) has quite a well respected Criminology department. I was thinking of doing a MA in either Criminology or Applied Criminology. From what I can see, my qualifications will probably be fine for those two- anything science based I will be taught as I go along.
Theres a third option, Clinical Criminology for which I might have to take a foundation course. It's still an option- just means I'll probably have to burn the summer after my graduation taking the foundation course.
