Prime Minister "cursed" by Aboriginals

I noticed this story on the News last night, but on what appears to be two seperate occasions Prime Minister John Howard has been cursed by members of the Australian Aboriginal community and the former head of the ATSC (Anoriginal and Torres Straight Islander Commision).

I'd like to note the slumps in his public support since then and various other shortfalls, he has asked for an apology dispite initial scepticism.

They used what's know as a "Spiritual Bone" to peform the curse... can't say I blame them if I had a tooth lying around I'd curse the bastard to.

This is hardly front page news.

Does anyone remember this even more amusing Incident?

I got a black magic mantra
Yes, I got a black magic mantra
Got me so blind I can't see
But it's a black magic mantra
And she's tryin' to get the devil away from me

You got your spell on me mantra
You got your spell on me mantra
Yes, you got your spell on me mantra
You're turning my heart into stone
I need you so bad, magic mantra, I just got to use my spirit bone.

Got any curses for Tony Blair?

I will warn you that the man is referred to as Teflon Tony for his amazing ability to repel or deflect any criticism of him or his government. I wouldn't want the curse to bounce back at the sender.

I also think he may be the anti-christ, but I could be biased.

Haha...how can you like Menzies and not Howard...they are virtually the same! And might I add, both are fantastic leaders and I look forward to Howard's re-election (don't want to be slugged with higher taxes as the opposition promised - same old same old - big debt and a stuffed economy).

First it was bad luck in the election...now it is being changed to death...

hmmm I think someone is telling porkies.

either way...does anybody truly believe in witchcraft? I mean, Europeans were unwelcome by the aborigines and if their power was true...wouldn't the British have been driven back?

Was that a chicken bone I saw?

I have to say...the whole curse thing is a bit funny...in fact if anything the aborigines should curse most of Australia then because many support the abolition of ATSIC.

Also Labor was going to scrap ATSIC...yet I don't see Latham getting a bone pointed his way...

Wonder why that is hmmmm...

Course not, but it was certainly a point clearly made. Is like the entire Aboriginal community stands up and says "Ay mate, fuck you!" (damn filter)

And if Johnny is doing badly in the election, it's not because of anyone's religious beliefs, it's because he has been screwing us over since '96, and we've not had much of a choice in the matter until now.

Kim Beazley didn't have any policies of his own, and Crean may as well not exist. But Latham is actually a challenge.

Look at the desperation from Mr. Howard and his cronies we've seen recently. At least, it sure looks like desperation; nothing but pathetic cheap-shots.

We all know that Howard has been saving up his budget "surplus" as an election sweetener, so he can go pork-barelling to try to get out of trouble.

The "surplus" of course, merely represents the difference between the high taxes he has collected and the lack of spending he has made on crucial areas (medicare, education, health, infrastructure, etc).

The electorate is becoming a wakeup to this double dealing.

Last time the manufactured "incident" re the Tampa saved him from a deserved fate, nothing will save him next time, not even notriously corrupt media broadcasters (cough*Alan Jones* cough).

If you think Howard won over tampa...think again.

Beazely had no policies of any substance (nobody still gets "knowledge nation").

This time Labor has policies...

But the costly Republic takes money from health and education.

After May 11th Labor will be so far in the Red, they won't be able to promise half a sandwich!

What next...free yo-yo's for the kids?

The "mates" reference was to John Howard's dealing with the producers of ethanol, who seeminly repay such "favours" by large-scale "donations" to the Liberal Party.

I had mistakenly thought that you may have recognised the reference.
