Is the chat for nationstates relatively stable, and does anything actually happen there? Or is it as barren and/or constipated as the forum?

Quite a few people hang out in there. I personally don't. I use to. There isn't much serious discussion that takes place, once in a while, mostly just silly stuff. Depending on what time of day you go on it can be quite busy. Oh btw, I'm talking about #nationstates_general There is also #nationstates which is more serious and has mostly RP people in there. It depends on what you're looking for. #nationstates and #nationstates_general are two quite different chats.
