Ausies have vegimite we have marmite. It sounds worse than it tastes. It's a yeast based, meaty, salty, brown, gunk.
I'm sure you can get it there some where. It is an aquired tatse, but once you get it.....
Go. Now. Search the supermarkets.

It last for ages. Found an unopend jar in my desk at work when I moved offices. Four years out of date, but was still fantastic on toast. Or in a cheese sandwich.
By the way 10 am here and sunny, and I should be working.

You should know better than to expect good weather in Scotland! Four seasons in one day is the norm.

But if you wait till middle May then you may get a heatwave. Spooky coincidence but my father-in-law lives abroad and whenever he comes back to Scotland we seem to get a heatwave and he is due in middle May!

What have I married into? Ability to control weather! Ooohhhh spooky.

Hope you catch a big fish!

Yep, 7200 ft (1000 feet above Tahoe) in the north/central Sierra Nevadas. Seems to be tapering off though, might get off with only a couple of inches. To heck with shoveling that, RAV4'll drive right over it no prob. I guess I'd better reset the alarm, and try for some shut-eye.

sounds like where i lived in the late 60s. a place on donner summit called norden. at that time we lived in the railraod company houses that were all connected togather with snowsheds.
the company houses are all gone now. the whole complex except for a few of the sheds that are over the switches. norden, incase the post office isn't still there was/is halfway between soda springs and the sugar bowl/tunnel six.
this was my favorite place to live when i was growing up. mostly because of how fascinating the place itself was at that time.
saw 8 feet of snow fall in 8 hours on the night of june 2nd 1968.
