Pothead

I've been thinking about something that The Pyrenees wrote in a thread today. (here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=140300&highlight=))
I always thought you'd be a pothead, TGL . :D

Do I come across as a pothead? Pyrenees was not the first to call me this (although I take no offence at it, given the context). As well as the story I related in that thread. It has happened a few times.

For example in a 'citizenship' class (a misnomer for a constitutional monarchy), we [the class] were 'talking' (ie teachers talking, pupils listening) about drugs. One of my classmates stood up and said that pot was a dangerous drug because (and I quote) "People may be forced to steal cars to finance their habit." The ridiculousness of this forced me to abandon my usual silence, explain that many drugs are dangerous and have side affects and are quite expensive. But pot is not one of these, I also put in bits of evidence saying that cannabis is less harmful than alcohol and (probably) the tobacco used to role a spliff with. I never advocated the use of any drug, but I felt that facts should be straightened out (especially the one about stealing cars). Anyway, the next day my History teacher told me that previously all the teachers suspected I used drugs, but now they were sure. I have no idea why they previously thought I was a 'pothead.' I didn't look like the stereotypical one. I looked much like everyone else, shorthair standard jeans and t-shirt, at the time

This is hardly unique. even when looking 'respectable' I was usually seen as being a pothead, even before I started using pot. No I can accept it may be a message I give off, makes people think "He's on pot," but Pyrenees calling me it got me wondering. Do I come across as pothead, even over the internet?

If it means anything, I've never thought of you as a pothead.

concern with correcting mindless false propaganda = you must be affected by that propaganda. remember, you are either with us or you're with the terrorist commie drug lords.

and no, you don't come across as a pothead. of course, neither do most people who use pot.
