Other than voting, do you act on your political beliefs?

Do you work or volunteer for a political party?
Do you write your government representatives?
Do you lobby?
Do you donate money to political causes or candidates?
Do you participate in activism?
Have you, or do you plan to enlist in the military?
Are you potically active in some other way?

Just wondering. You needn't state your views, for which causes you are active. I don't want to start a flame war.

I, myself, frequently write my representative and am a political activist. I am also planning to become active in my political party.

Thanks for being cautious and not turning my message into a flame war, Abolion! :)

I work for my local party and for a handful of causes. I've written my congressional representative and Senators and called them more than once. I've donated money to candidates and 527 groups. I've never lobbied. I have written Letters to the Editor and had them published. I've volunteered to serve on a local draft board should the draft be restored. I've done get out the vote work and hosted a forum for local candidates in a judgeship race while an undergrad in Louisiana. I'm too old to go into the military now, but I very nearly did about 6 years ago. I'm glad I stayed out of it.

Do you work or volunteer for a political party?
Yes, I volunteer for the Dems.
Do you write your government representatives?
Often and to avail only once. The only REAL response I've ever gotten was from Clinton...ah the good ol' days. And the mayor, but that doesn't count.
Do you lobby?
No, but I would.

Do you donate money to political causes or candidates?
No.
Do you participate in activism?
Nah.

Have you, or do you plan to enlist in the military?
I did consider it as a source for college $$, but the marines told me I could not be in the military. I don't know why.
Are you politically active in some other way?
I think my clever bumper stickers count as something.
