At least I think I am
Do you want to quit, and are unable to, or are you just worried about health consequences?

Lets get an AA meeting going.
I honestly don't know what I want.
My advice, as someone who runs/owns a bar-restaurant and has seen a *lot* of alcoholism would be this: if quitting isn't an option, moderation is the ideal path, but the worst thing you can ever do is to punish yourself with drink when you're in a funk or otherwise depressed.. it never helps.
Thats all anyone can say without knowing you personally.
lol
Why do they call it alcoholics anonymous if you have to say your name?

I think I just get drunk too much, like on schoolnights.

Don't drink on school nights then. It'll make it really hard to get good marks.
lol
Why do they call it alcoholics anonymous if you have to say your name?Because everything that is said remains confidential.

No, not really. I think maybe it's because I'm problems with a friend of mine. But that can't all be it.

I've been drinking about two years, I'll be 17 in a month.
I've been drinking about two years, I'll be 17 in a month. When you drink (my yourself) does it make you feel better or worse about yourself?

It makes me forget my problems. When I'm alone I sit down and laugh at stuff, when I'm with people I act like an idiot. I'm kinda getting a reputation as the "hard drinker" at school. Which is a two way street. Generally I feel better about myself, or just "better".

If you're serious about getting help, go to your phonebook and look up AA or Alcoholics Anonymous. You can call 24/7, and just tell the person that picks up you want to go to a meeting. You might want to try a young people's meeting since you are one yourself. Go to the meeting and LISTEN. If you listen well enough, you should be able to determine if you are an alcoholic or not. If you're not, drink away! If you think you are, talk to some people at the meeting. I can almost gaurantee you that someone there will be willing to listen to you. I hope that was of some help.

My grades in Calculus have definitly fallen this year because of drinking. That's what has worried me.

Tell us how you feel afterwards and that will give you a better idea about wether or not you are suffering from alcholism/
