I don't understand why everyone put Hitler even though he is responsible for less than half the mass-murder of Stalin!!

That's why i voted for poor Joe.
And you might as wel put Leopold II in there too...
I picked Mao Zedong because he was one of the few motivated purely by a psychotic obsession for glory. I mean he already had all of China loyal and communist, but he decided anarchy would he the situation.
I don't understand why everyone put Hitler even though he is responsible for less than half the mass-murder of Stalin!!
Because you cannot put a value on a human life, and Hitler's crimes were the most extensive and numerous of all time.
Hitler's six million, Stalin's ten million, Pol Pot's two million.
Genocide = Genocide = Genocide.

Since Boy-Bands aren't an option i put Stalin.
Hitler restored Germany's econony. Good
Invaded Poland. Bad
Murdered Jews. Very Bad
Stalin Communist leader. Bad
Murdered. Bad
Hmm, it is close, but at least Hitler did one good thing.

Who did you vote for?
Stalin, but it was close.
Well... if "he"counts as a man, God.
Why?
Because God's name has caused more hatred, suffering, and death than all of the other men combined. All throughout history, the battle was not between armies, but Gods. The "My God is bigger than your God" mentality has driven us to madness.
So many of today's problems would be solved if people just thought and let think - bigots are worse than murderers.

Evil isn't a matter of scale. It's a matter of character. If Hitler had got lucky and won WW2, or if Stalin had overrun Europe, the scale of their crimes would be far greater - but they wouldn't be any more evil for it, just more lucky. There are evil acts and there are evil people; one doesn't become more or less evil simply by virtue of being more able to do something about it.
Evil is marked by intent, not by deeds. Deeds are often a good indicator, true, but intent is generally a really hard thing to guage. Hitler gets picked most often because his hatred was explicit, overwhelming and central to his motivations; you don't have to guess his intent because he screams it out. Other people may have been as or more evil, but they tended to mask it somewhat more.

What, Idi Amin made it to the list, but Saddam did not? By what logic? Just because Saddam did not literally eat his enemies? And what about Augusto Pinochet? He is well comparable to both Idi Amin and Saddam.

Saddam Hussein is not even on the same order as Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot. Diet coke of evil dictators. Only one calorie, not evil enough.
And there's only so much room on the polls.

Sorry but there is limited amount of choices in a poll. Yes Saddam and Picochet sucked but Idi Amin killed more people then Saddam even though he was a murdering bastared who should have died at birth and likewise with Augosto. I wanted to add their names to the poll but there was not anough room.
