I am a Sox fan. I don't think they will go to the World Series (that is the NY Yankee's spot). But, they will win AL Central. Now lets talk baseball and go Sox.

Today's game was scary as hell. The Sox almost gave up a 6-0 lead with Garland.
When it was 8-5 going into the top of the 9th, it got worse. Billy Koch, but I call him the more vulgar term of similar pronounciation, gave up 4 runs to make it 8-9 ballgame with KC leading. It seemed like game 1 all over again. But, Magglio, Big Frank, Carlos Lee, and Paulie came through in the bottom of the 9th.

I like it when they win, but the koch (think of the vulgar term) has to go. He blew too many games last year and cost them the division. Other than that, they are good and will win alot.

O-E-O Magglio!

Go Sox Go. Comiskey, or the Cell, looks better than ever. Ozzy rules

Uh, the Sox crushed the Yankees, but you know how it goes, the Yanks will buy pitchers and win the pennant.

As bumps, I will go through the batting order

Leadoff batter, 2nd baseman, Willie HARRIS!

He has batted well against the Yankees and is on a hot streak after a poor 2003 season

Funny you should mention it, I am wearing my Sosa Cork shirt I got at the cell last year. Anyway, Sox won, Tigers lost, We are in 1st place baby woo!

Back to order:

Jose hits a fly that was caught and is out. The fly was to right so Harris advanced to 3rd.

NEXT BATTER: Right Fielder, Magglio Ordonez. O-E-O MAGGLIO!!!!

1-2 count. He takes a pitch low and away, he hits it, its is going deep to left headed for the concourse. YOU CAN PUT THAT ON THE BOARD Yeeeeeeaaaasssss! (that is really what the announcers on Fox Sports Net Chicago say, they said it today when Mags hit the game winning homer in the bottom of the 10th)

The Cubbies won in the ninth today with back-to-back homers from Sosa and Alou.

I'll say this for the Sox--the Cubs play in a far tougher division, but the Sox could just win the division because everyone in it sucks about equally. I mean, a monster improvement in Detroit like the one KC had last year would put them right around .500 and that will be enough to make it interesting. I'd be really surprised if any team from the AL Central wins more than 88 games this year.

Edit--I got my numbers wrong on the Tigers. A Royals-like improvement would only mean that the Tigers wouldn't lose a hundred games this year, and they might pull that off. It would take an unheard of improvement for them to get close to .500, so they're still likely out of the division race. But everyone else in that division can conceivably win it, and then serve as cannon fodder for the A's or the Mariners or the Red Sox or Yankees or Angels--whoever winds up being the number 2 seed in the AL come playoff time.

Anyone can see that the two teams to beat in the AL Central are the Twins and Royals. The twins will probably win again despite not re-signing steady eddie or the hawk (eddie guardado and latroy hawkins). As long as every starter they have doesn't keep getting injured the Twins should win the division.
