I was giving this subject some thought over the weekend & I came to the conclusion that we shouldn't move to a new server

The reason? There's a large number of us here that post from work. Sometimes the only opportunity to get work done is when the server crashes. If the sever worked all the time we'd never get anything done which could put our jobs in jeopardy as, sadly, most employers are not forwarding thinking enough to pay us just to play on NS.

Therefore I propose that we stop all this 'new server' nonsense forthwith so some of us can remain in gainful employment :wink:

I do this from home while My GFs away. No prob with a new *faster* server here.

The theorys good but when it crashes I go for lunch. So I still get no work done!

They are not hamsters, it is the mice that run the servers. That's why we all have to have a mouse, so that the server can feel as though it is amongst friends and be encouraged to work harder. Long live the mice.

....and on that work thing... I am confused.... when I go to that place where they pay me to go, am I supposed to be doing something other than playing NS and such like? Is there some point to this work thing that I am missing here?

No! We need a new server! I work an overnight shift, and on my nights off this is the only thing that keeps me from shooting myself in boredom. When the server crashes on those nights I am filled with a deep sense of loss, a feeling I would like to get rid of. Bring on the new servers!
