This UN has about as much power as the actual UN. It has no power to enforce anything it passes. It just hopes that all nations within its scope comply.

Keep your fingers crossed for Nationstates 2.0. Hopefully, that should have a UN that actually DOES SOMETHING. Can't wait.
The UN only has as much power as you give it, you don't have to join.

It's a modest but noticeable element in the game. The UN forum is often amusing.
