Fascists are warmongers, stealing your rights, (modern) fascists are corporate huggers, full of idiots, they practice social darwinism, and are dirty people.

Communists want to help you by making sure you do not own too much, produce too much, or consume too much. Capitalists want to help themselves by making sure you own more than you need, overproduce, and overconsume. ~ Michael.

Communists want you to live, but just barely, as everyone has the same things, reducing crime, and eventually hampering creativity. Capitalism doesn't do that, but it's not like you can use your knowledge. The only ones with money are those at the top, most of which are no better than Nero. How do those sound?

And oh, I can't the slightest difference between communism and fascism. Just, one has been more deadly than the other.

Actually, they probably took their idea from the British concentration camps of the 1900's in South Africa during the Boer War.

Communism could work if
a) Its leaders didnt get greedy
b) Its global, so theres no capitalist countries to cheat it out of resources and money. And nobody to declare war on them (It wasnt Communism that made the USSR poor, it was the fact they had to spend all their money on nukes and subs. If there was no war, the money woudl go to the people)

Communism could work if
a) Its leaders didnt get greedy

c) They could find a way of making rational economic decisions without pricing (the single biggest contribution to USSR poverty. The US spent as much on military and STILL became richer)
d) Power hungry people weren't good at using power (politics)
e) People were willing to work for no reward
f) People didn't want to be free
g) Bureaucracies were selfless and efficient
h) You give up all hope of technological advancement
i) The government were infinitely wise and infinitely good
j) The government banned capitalism between consenting adults
k) There were a substitute for competition to provide efficiency
l) Government planners gave a monkeys about the desires of consumers
m) Government planners knew as much about local conditions as those "on the front line"
n) People were Bees
o) It weren't evil being founded upon slavery, sacrifice and worship of authority

Communists want equality but it is impossible due to human nature. The system thus becomes corrupted and millions are killed to ensure the elite remains in power e.g. Stalin.

Fascists are fierce nationalists who believe that people's rights should be restricted so that the nation has high moral standards. There should also be a free market and people's reproductive freedoms should be limited in order for a better race to be created. Thus it is not a bad system of government.

Communism treats every individual as a single unit that, if given the freedom to choose its profession will naturally fill the positions that society needs. It assumes that people are inherently good and if freed from state control will assume a role that society needs and values- some will be brain surgeons, some will be street sweepers, yet all are equal.

Fascism treats every individual as a single unit that if given the freedom to choose its position will naturally fail to achieve its potential. It assumes that people are inherently bad and state control is necessary to ensure every role that society needs to be filled is filled. Some will be brain surgeons, some will be street sweepers, but whatever a person will do is set by the state and not by free will.

Communism believes the state will wither away yet offers no organising principle to replace it. It offers no guidance for how the jobs that nobody wants to do should be filled. Nobody really wants to be a sewage worker or coalminer, and because the state (if Communist ideals are strictly adhered to) does not exist and cannot force people to do those jobs or offer them extra incentives to do them, they don't get done. That's just the way people are.

Fascism overemphasises the importance of the state and gives nobody any freedom of choice. Those who would, if they had the choice, be artists or teachers or musicians end up becoming mechanics and builders- all, meanwhile, are first and foremost soldiers committed to the defence of the state, and everyone is a policeman seeking to ensure everyone else fulfils the purpose the state sets for them, and does not undermine the state by 'straying' from their set role. Of course, they're all brainwashed by blind adherence to nationalism, so they don't know any better. That's just the way people are.

Communism strips you of things like 'nationalism', 'religion' and 'heritage', as these are just the things that the bourgeoisie use to divide people against each other. You are no longer a Jew or Christian or member of any other religion, you are no longer British or American or Namibian, you will no longer swell with pride on hearing the ancient heroics of Owain Glyndwr or Winston Churchill or Nelson Mandela or anyone else. As people see others become free of these burdens they too will throw off their nationalist, religious and cultural pretences and see each other as equals.

Fascism defines your nationalism, religion and heritage on your behalf. You will follow the religion the state sets for you, and will learn by heart the heroics of past Fascist 'heroes'. Anyone who ever believed anything else has been assimilated, or more likely, exterminated (although you will not be aware they ever existed). In order that everyone remains equally loyal to the state, anyone who appears to be developing a different nationalism, religion or culture to that promoted by the state will be quickly dealt with.

Which would you prefer? Frankly, given the choice of living under a Communist system, or a Fascist system, I'd choose the former, although I'd know that the system would not last long and would probably be one of the first to try and subvert it. Better red than dead, I suppose...
