You don't want a job. I'm almost 16 and I can say from at least some experience that having a job sucks.

I'm 22, and I've managed to avoid getting a job so far. Student loans are a wonderful thing, not least because I'll probably never earn enough to be obliged to pay any of it back.
11-04-2004, 02:10
nooooO! not a good job before me!! ahhh thats what?.. everyone now? :(
11-04-2004, 02:23

I remember the Police vaguely, and I distinctly remember that Sting was better by himself.

I'm 19, and am going to have my first "real" job this summer. (I say "real" because I did some professional acting as a kid; as I recall my first paid job took place when I was around 10. But I haven't worked since 1996. It's always sad when you outgrow being cute. )

Oh yeah, congratulations on having been born. Um... not much happens when you're 14. Or 15. Come to think of it, 14 through 21 aren't particularly notable. Or at least they have yet to be, in my case.

I guess my advice to you is to enjoy High School, if you can.

I never did enjoy high school.

Thankfully, it wasn't torture.

I'm of a rare breed; the nerd who can beat the stuffing out of people.

I got in a lot of fights when I was younger. In high school, it didn't turn out to be necessary. I was a nerd who was gradually able to transcend the social boundaries nerdiness usually entails. I became, as I'm told, a "living legend" at the school and was elected class speaker for graduation by my peers.

... I used the opportunity to make fun of students and faculty. It was a big hit.

Happy (Belated) Birthday!!!

yeah, get a job! Start paying taxes! I started working when I was 12 doing a paper round. In those days you could go to the cinema, get a taxi there & back, have a slap up meal, buy 3 outfits, a car & a house all on 5 quid a week...!!

Hey, there are also nice jobs! I used to help to put up a salesstand for fruits and vegetables. One hour in the morning, before school, to put it up, one hour in the evening, after school, to break it down. EEEaaasy money! And an extra 100 Deutschmark a week back in the 80-s was quite something when you were 15.
With this extra money, I could buy expensive clothes and drinks to impress the girls. Whow! What a cool life I had!
Today I'm still unmarried, an alcoholic who has to pay support for five children. So when I think about it: Maybe the money thing wasn't such a great idea. Should've stayed at home and become a nerd.

Happy Birthday, anyway. And remember: live fast, die young!
