Proportionately, North-Eastern Europe went from thousands to a couple hundred back in August.

In terms of absolute Numbers, Normack went from over 10,000 to about 3,000 in the great August purge.

I lost about 70 posts the first purge, and yet climbed four places by it.

It's rather amusing to watch the memberlist get rearranged. This is the first time since August that I've seen massive changes in it. I wonder why only the Generalites seem to be significantly affected though.

I had sort of the opposite happen. I used to be a post-count obssessed Generalite. Then I realized when I started reading Technical, that the most insighful players only had a few hundered (most of them have a thousand or two by this point) posts apiece.

It's still fun to complain about how much of a spammer I look like, with them, and this purge has been fun to watch, but I'd personally rather see them go.

I don't really care about past threads myself. I don't have the time to re-read what I wrote months ago. But I like to chat a bit, so I would prefer the closed threads be gone before they take away my ability to actually interact with people I meet though NS.

With the Mods nuking General, a lot of people went up in their ranking. Raw numbers dropped a little, but some people had much more dramatic drops. Catholic Europe lost something like 2000 posts.

So, yeah, you might want to update a bit.

Oh, and I didn't have time to read 16 pages, but you could give a (dis)honorable mention to Marathon who was probably the first to pop over 10,000. Also, Kitsylvania had a bucket-load too. 5ks, I think. I don't remember.

I'm not excited about the Jolt move either, but we're not on Jolt yet.

You'll know when we get to Jolt because the forums will look ugly, there will be a Jolt banner ad in the top, and you'll lose that date part of your founding date.

I agree that most of the forums could use some pruning, not just Gen.

Yet still, for the most part no other forums have word games and chat threads, which are apparently what are being pruned. Nan put some NS themed word games in Gameplay at one point (one thread mind) but it didn't really catch on.

To sidetrack on that thought: One thing which I realized would be nice would be a forum for discussion of the game's culture, and stuff. It currently gets swamped in Gen, flamed in NS, and doesn't really fit any other forum.

The problem is that a lot of companies are figuring out how to circumvent that by using Flash. No picture file means an image with no way to block the adserver.

The purges were helping me move up the list, but now I'm stuck at #82.

I used to get flooded. I suppose that the more proposals you endorse the more TGs on endorsing the ones which you don't endorse that you get.
Or it could be that people are right about the political leanings of the UN, so most people leave the delegate of "Conservatopia" alone. :P

There are generally a lot of people, inluding mods on, and quick discussions like this are made a lot quicker and much less spammy (but this does take me, back, I try to avoid spamming, so I haven't had a converation like this in I do't know how long.
