Hey Raysia and Anthrus

I know you got deleted, but if you still read posts in this liberal fantasyland forum, then I invite you to look me up in the alt.spacebastards newsgroup. I think you and I would make a good team. I always liked your posts.

If you don't have a good newsreader then go to:

So Snubis, I have to ask you, now that you admit you were being a troll.. were you really as fanatical in your opinions as you let on? Or was it just an act?

Thanks!

Was Brobrada somewhat reasonable? I'll take that as a compliment, as I want to be a lawyer. Anyhow, this is the real me. I'm a conservative who lives in Upstate New York, not a militant anti American activist in Corsica. As for my reasoning, I hope this is helpful.

Ok, so I think I understand it better now, it was sort of an experiment. I'm okay with that, it's too bad you had to do it at the expense of your main nation.. but your puppet was pretty brutal. I found you quite reasonable as Anthrus and I find you just as reasonable as Purly Euclid. I did not like your puppet to much though. Was kind of fanatical, but I guess that was what you were trying to do. I just hope you got it out of your system, I enjoy your input in many of threads I have taken part in. All is forgiven as far as I'm concerned of course I don't know if some people are a little ticked with you, but heck after all it's just a forum on the net. I just hope you stick to being you, you're quite likable when you're just being yourself :)

Peace,
Stephanie.

Thanks. I agree that I shouldn't have said that Americans are de-evolved, deserve to die, etc. But there's a little reasoning behind this. Most Americans are of European decent. I said early as Brobrada that the most famous de-evolved person was Constantine, our communal ancestor. It was certainly not outside the realm of possibility, as the Romans were all across Europe.
Then I claimed other things, like the migration to America was an attempt for highly evolved governments to dump their less evolved people. I was gonna say as Brobrada that America controlled the world through an undectectable radio frequency that subliminally made you think pro American thoughts, and claim that's what the Menwith Hill facility in the UK is for. I guess that would've been overboard. But like you said, I got it out of my system. And hopefully, I don't get the urge to pull crap like that again.

Just in case no one has told you yet, Nationstates is not a democracy. It's owned soley by Max Barry and we just follow his rules. You want him to change his rules... The original staff kind of was chosen, at least indirectly so, by the players.

That staff then picked the others.

Save for people like Cogitation and Sirocco, who proved themselves by actually having programming skill.

Umm you think so huh..lol Sorry wrong! But please try again. Sirocco has devolped some programming skills since he's taken on editing the "issues" I would like you tell to me exactly what "programming" skills Cog has?.. Salusa is our Tech.. there is no need for "programming" skills to be a moderator.. although.. some of us do have them yes. However, it's got nothing to do with being a moderator.

I really have to explain it to you?

You know what a parrot is, right? You know how you can train them to say a few simple phrases. And once you do, they repeat those phrases, no matter what you say to them. No matter what you say, all they respond with is the same phrase that's been ingrained in their heads. They're not actually responding to what you're saying, because they really don't understand what you're saying. They're just repeated the same tired sayings that they've been taught.

Is that clearer?

A furry is a person who likes dressing up as an animal and engaging in sexual activities with similarly attired people. They also ah...like naughty animal pictures a jolly lot.

Bullshit.Dude, she's not kidding. HBO's Real Sex did a piece on it. I'm tough to weird out and it was one of the most disturbing things I'd seen, even weirder than the Real Doll (and that's all kinds of effed up).

FYI:

Here's where you can find out more about "furries" -- a term which has come to be used both for furry characters, and for the fans of them.

Several TV shows, including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Jimmy Kimmel, The Man Show, ER, Drew Carey, and specials on MTV and HBO have featured furries. However, these depictions have largely been along the lines of "lookit the freaks" and are not a fair representation of furries or furry fandom in general. Have you ever noticed in TV coverage of a football game, how the camera often focuses on the few fans (out of a stadium of tens of thousands) who have painted their bodies in the team colors? Yes, furry fandom has its share of colorful characters -- but most of people who are fascinated by furries are not that different from the people you know at school, work or church who enjoy sports, gardening, arts and crafts, cooking, collecting, games, or any other hobbies.

What Are Furries?
You've probably seen many: they're the stars of greeting cards, TV commercials, comics and movies entertaining millions of young and old alike. In short, folks with fur... characters in literature, film, TV, comics, or roleplaying who aren't quite human. Examples in popular media include cartoon characters such as Bugs Bunny; mythical creatures such as werewolves and dragons (the possession of fur is not a requirement of being "furry"); or aliens such as the Wookies and Ewoks of Star Wars.

But for some folks, the furries appearing in popular media aren't enough... so they seek out independent comic books like Steve Galacci's Albedo and Mike Curtis's Shanda the Panda. These long-running series deal with mature subject matter: the former, the personal and physical devastations of war; the latter, the ecstasies, agonies, and intricacies of adult relationships. And in fact, the only comic ever to win a Pulitzer Prize is furry: Art Spiegelman's Maus, chronicling the experiences of his grandfather in Nazi Germany, with cats cast as Nazis and mice as Jews.

Fandom is in many respects similar to science fiction fandom, but "furry" is a "meta-genre", since it cuts across traditional genre classifications of SF (the Wookies of Star Wars), Westerns (Feivel Goes West), heroic quests (Watership Down), and even sports (Animalympics).

Heh, that MTV one was apoplexy-causingly wrong. I've gone out with a member of said furry subculture! She was patently not as they get misrepresented.

So tell me, what's wrong about furries?

It's similar to other rp problems, some people get lost in their character. maybe moreso because of cosplay.

Most of it's just innocent fantasy fun.

You need to be careful to thoroughly check out a fur group before wandering in there, some people are out of touch with reality.

Some Cons are wilder than others too.

Hey, I don't judge any one for what they want to do.. it just appears to be a little twisted to me.. whether it includes sex or not. It's a little out there.
