I don't know, people like that do exist. Several of them are my neighbours and coworkers. :x

New Auburnland obvoulsy got into the shallow end of the gene pool while the lifeguard wasn't looking.

Find it difficult to believe that anyone could in reality combine such vast amounts of ignorance with such unbounded bigotry. But, yes, such do exist.

Myself..I'm just a simple aging former Marine..I'm not college-educated, the only classes I attended were on how to take out an enemy..I'm probably not as well researched on my positions as I'd like to be..I constantly get my ass handed to me on a platter by some of the most informed posters on here...

No doubt I shoot from the hip, my positions based more on simple ideals then any thought-out proceess.

In the Marine Corps we have an acronym..KISS...K eep It Simple & Stupid...when all else is broken down to it's most basic level for me...Saddam was a despotic thug who had to go..it's not pretty, it may not be legal or moral in some people's eyes...but go he had to...after seeing mass graves and rape rooms that his sons used on Iraq's daughters, mothers, and sisters..I'm more convinced that getting him out was righteous....

People say...."Well...there are all shorts of bad leaders if that is your philosophy"....we do what we do for the best interests of the US, sometimes our government has shaked hands with the Devil...other times like Iraq we'll cut it off..right now..if we could get a stabilized Iraq with democratic instittions in place..it will go a long way toward stabilizing the Middle East and become a buffer to Iranian and Syrian ambitions.

You do just fine Salishe, you are not a person with extreme views.. I may not usually agree with your positions, but that is because I believe in different political views then you, not because you don't know what you're talking about. You know a hell of a lot more then I see a lot of people post.

Other then that.. I have had my own little run-in with New Auburnland , I don't believe this was an RP, he really does think like that. It's just sad. But what can you do. I suppose engage it, or ignore it. Thankfully he has no power on this earth to decide any thing, as it should be!

He's a little...extreme...in his views of anyone who opposes the US. I've found him to be very nice when you're not disagreeing with him, but he can be very stubborn in his ways when he thinks he's right.

Well he's posted that he "Hates" me.. in a thread that wasn't even about politics.. it was just one of those threads that folks start for mods some times.. I thought "hate" was a little strong, I can understand that some don't like me.. "dislike" would of probably been better, after all it's just a forum on the net. It's not like any of us really know each other. When I pointed out that perhaps hate was a little strong I could live with dislike, he only backed it up with more... so.. *Shrug*

Sure there are people who annoy me on the forum..but certainly no one I "hate" or even "dislike" really.. There are people who annoy me and people whom I disagree with.. that's about it in that department.
