I don't see it as flaming if the entire thread is about deletion and such. The server's got about 3 people left on it worth debating, and doesn't load with my modem 90% of the time, so if I'm deleted for something so benign, than that's even less reason to stay.

Roy, this sort of thing is uncalled for. Raysia had been warned on numerous occations to quit baiting and flaming, and he chose to ignore those warnings. Blaming a mod for doing her job is just silly. Do you blame the bank for being robbed because it had money in it? No. You blame the person who broke the law. Blaming a Moderator because a player broke the rules is the same thing.

This is a free game with very simple rules. Simple rules that tens of thousands of unique players have no trouble obeying. Some people seem to think they're above these rules. Or that their longevity grants them a degree of immunity. Patently false.

Going from a nonrepentant player's deletion for rules violation to the random, baseless smear of a Moderator is hardly rational, and even less called for. Weather or not you agree with Stephistan's posts, politics, or contributions to these forums has absolutely no bearing on Raysia's continued violation of the Terms of Service.

This is not a matter of "pissing off a mod". We don't delete people because they piss us off. We delete people for breaking the rules. When a player has been warned no less than four times, they have moved beyond existing on borrowed time, and exist only because we're being generous. Remember, NationStates grants players one warning. Anything beyond that is little more than charity.

Furthermore, this is not a Delete On Sight event. This is a player who broke the rules and was punished. DOS orders are for players who have had numerous nations deleted.

Finally, Roy, consider this a warning. Your vile ad hominem, 1950's style attacks against Stephistan are a clear violation of NationStates rules and you know it. If you truly don't care about your nation, keep it up. I'll personally purge you. And don't come asking for a ressurection after the migration either.

Well, as someone who normally only posts in the IC section International incidents(i like my RP!) i have to say, this caught my eye! I have, from the IC point of view, bought some great aircraft from him, i have also noticed that some great nations that have great storefronts are leaving the game, i myself left, then came back and made this nation, i noticed that the great nation of Ge-force4 had been deleted, now, no offence to the MODs, but, why delete him? I think that the idea of a MODs voting thing is great...and The Atheists Reality, i really dont like you now... :evil:

Well I backed off and stopped what it was I was doing. I don't think Raysia took the hints. I'm not conservative or religious, but I am American, which can get you into alot of fights with Steph.

I have no clue why he thought it was worth his time to mess with some bird-brained mod like that. I guess he had it coming. But, I am inclined to believe that that is because the majority (not all) of the conservatives that I have encountered here tend to prefer personal attacks on their opponent/s rather than debating the issue.

Seems that they will go through the usual steps of saying that :

opponents view does not count (they are Canadian for example)

opponents source does not count (it is biased)

opponent is anti-American (a good all-rounder for any criticism)

oopponent always takes the liberal viewpoint (yes, so ?)

opponent does not care that Clinton (or someone else) was wrong/lied/
failed to act/etc just as much (irrelevant ...two wrongs do not make a right, two lies do not make a truth)

opponent doesn't understand the complexities of the issue (another good all rounder, requires no facts or details at all)

opponent has no direct experience of combat (one of the wackiest I have seen...I have no direct experience of murder or rape either, yet I still consider both to be wrong)

after this usual litany, the conservative usually flees the post, sometimes leaving caustic messages like "well. I won't tell you anyway" or something similar.

This, unfortunately, becomes tedious, predictable and frustrating all at the same time.

Not true, we have some really intelligent conservatives who post here.. we have fanatics from both sides agreed.. but we have smart intelligent people from both sides as well. Not every one likes to "pretend" some people actually like to discuss real life issues and not just make them up in a fantasy world such as RP.. Nah. He admits he was wrong and crossed the line, and he's not IP banned; he still has plenty of puppet nations to post with. He just lost Raysia.

Perhaps I was juts putting 2 and 2 together and making 5, I don't know. That is just what I thought at the time.

I think that the mods are VERY biased in there DEATing. They do tend to have liberal viewpoints, so it is understandable that they target conservatives like myself. Remember the topic "God help us if Kerry wins?" (if not, read what I wrote before attacking me) I received a scorching telegram from La Raza Unida (still exists). It was originally a post, but he removed it quickly. I deleted it, but I remember the first sentence.
