So, who do you think will win the heavyweight championship fight on Saturday? (April 10, 9:45 pm ET/ 6:45 pm PT on HBO for the Americans) Lamon Brewster or Wladimir Klitschko?

The Russian has an interesting bio.
He comes across like an NS player!

I used to box when I was 16 and 17, had to quit thanks to an eye injury, and even though I love the sport I can't say I particularly enjoy watching it. When I do I end up fighting along shadowboxing

Eye injury eh? Sucks.
Well, maybe one day there will be a world championship shadowboxing. Afterall, there are even world championships held for the airguitar. So why not shadowboxing?

Honestly, I've lost interest since the rise of pay per view. I used to watch boxing on tv way back in the day--saw Sugar Ray Leonard win his first title that way and I watched Buster Douglas beat Tyson on HBO--but ever since it started costing 50 bucks to watch a match that might last 2 rounds, I've drifted away from the sport. I like Roy jones, Jr--that's about the limit of my knowledge, unfortunately.

I like boxing, but... How many titles are there? Four? And how many fights did Lewis the last five years as a Champion? Five?

Someone need to do something about it. All current champs should fight eachother, get an überchamp in every weight class and stick to one belt. The Champ should be forced to defend his title against good boxers, not Mickey Mouse boxers, every or every second month. Rank the callengers in a spiffy ranking system based on their results so we don't have to see any lame fighters challenge the champ, hiding behind the ref. No champion wants to fight someone who might beat them and today, no one is forcing them to do it either.

Since I got Eurosport again I've been watching K1 occasionally. Althoug I like classic boxing I have to confess that I prefer watching K1. No clinch, just action.

Yeah. I like K-1. I've did a view training sessions with, then, raining K-1 champions a few years back. Ernesto Hoost and Peter Aerts. But unfortunatly it isn't on as much as I would like.

I don't know who Peter Aerts is, but I've seen Ernesto Hoost. I wouldn't want to be in the same ring as him... or rather, I wouldn't BE in the same ring, at least not after some seconds.

Boxing fan here, i think Klitschko will win, too much strength for Brewster. Its quite disappointing that the heavyweight division seems to be so lacking in talent these days. :(

K-1 is annoying to me. All the fighters look like sub-standard athletes, and most of them seem to be pretty glass-jawed too for some reason.

Peter Aerts, the Dutch lumberjack, 3 times K-1 winner (http://www.fightingmaster.com/fighters/aerts/aerts.htm)

Klitschko does have an advantage over Brewster. He got a PhD. So that would make him a smart fighter.

I haven't seen that many glas jaws in K-1. All the fighters I've seen can take quite a beating. And how are they sub standard? :?: When they have 3 fights in one day. That doesn't seem realy seem sub standard to me.

I'm not sure if smartness is a good thing for a boxer...

K1 includes world champs from other fighting diciplines which I can not spell properly, but K1 also seem to include some sluggers/clowns. That Bob Sapp comes to my mind...

Is that that former 600 pound football player?
Well, nothing is perfect. Except for me.

Yeah, that would be him. He's large enough, that's not a problem. He's technique though, is non-existent. But when he lands a punch... you'd better move fast around that guy.

Yeah. I saw him fight. Absolutly worthless, weren't it for his seize and weight. Imagine him sitting on you!!!! I pity the woman that sleeps with him!!
