Good evening, infidels. Your humble instructor's adventures in capitalism seem to be about to yield a great result. However I won't announce any more until such a time that I can confirm that the result is indeed what I am forecasting. Suffice it to say, if it comes through, this column will go on a month-long sabbatical sometime in the summer.
- I really like this link. It comes from www.mooreexposed.com, and it applies the Michael Moore method to none other than the Michael Moore and his upcoming "documentary." In fact, the entire mooreexposed.com site is a must-see.

- Lanny Grant follows the money and explains the basic unfairness of the "progressive" tax system, which is based on "from each according to his ability."
http://mensnewsdaily.com/archive/g/grant/2004/grant040704.htm
- Dick Morris continues to chronicle the crash of the Kerry campaign.
http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/opedcolumnists/22306.htm
- Are we in the US encouraging the scum in Fallujah by our continued restraint? (Even though we did hit a mosque today, eliminating 40+ militants.) John O'Sullivan thinks so.

And Ralph Peters says we (the US) are paying the price to be paid for weakness. And he is right.

- As always, Mark Steyn is right on target. Some of you are castigating the Bush administration for "not doing enough to prevent 9/11." Maybe so. However, 10 years ago, someone knew exactly what was going on in Rwanda and chose to do nothing to prevent genocide there.

That someone admits his failure to prevent the genocide.

- Tax Freedom Day comes on April 11th this year. For those of you who don't know what TFD is, it's the day when you're perceived to have worked enough, and earned enough to pay your tax burden (federal, state, local, etc) for the year. This is the earliest TFD has come since 1967! This is cause for celebration.

- Time to break down what was actually understandable from Chappaquiddick Ted's recent speech. Jay Bryant debunks the speech, point by point.
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/jaybryant/jb20040407.shtml
- Unlike private business, government rarely, if ever, has to account for the cost of its decisions and policies. Thomas Sowell explains why there is no such thing as a free lunch.

- Your dictionary defines magician as "someone who performs tricks of illusion, by sleight of hand." Walter E. Williams applies the definition to the Democrats and their attempts to discredit the Bush administration's handling of the War on Terror.
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/walterwilliams/ww20040407.shtml
- Kathleen Parker weighs in on Condi Rice's upcoming testimony before the 9/11 Commission, and wonders, if the commission gets tough with her, will the NOW gang come to her defense? Don't hold your breath.
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/kathleenparker/kp20040407.shtml
- Linda Chavez also weighs in on Condi's testimony.
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/lindachavez/lc20040407.shtml
- Jonah Goldberg thinks Richard Clarke made a powerful case in his testimony...for GW Bush's re-election. After all, the Bush team has done a powerful job fighting terrorism while having to learn...why turn the fight over to an obvious neophyte, who plans to undo all that has been done since 9/11?
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/jonahgoldberg/jg20040407.shtml
- Could Howard Stern read Richard Clarke's book on-air without picking up another fine? Terrence Jeffrey says no.
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/terencejeffrey/tj20040407.shtml
- The situation in Iraq calls for strong leadership. William F. Buckley says George W. Bush is the man for the job.
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/wfbuckley/wfb20040406.shtml
- The Washington Times editorial page questions the wisdom of John Kerry.
http://www.washtimes.com/op-ed/20040406-105543-7597r.htm
- And now for something completely different. I challenge all of you to tell this woman that she isn't, in Isaac Hayes' immortal words about Shaft, "one bad motha..." THIS, my friends, is The Toughest Person Alive Today, bar-none. Ok, maybe the guy who amputated his own arm can challenge her.
