It's sopposed to be an acapella beatbox-type scat of, what i believe, was a guitar line. So doodly would be the correct sound to imitate with. Furthermore, jazz-type scat would be inappropriate for a very much more poppy, vocalist centered song. The type of scat I was referring to is much less making a vocal instrument as making the vocal instrument imitate sounds of other instruments, in this case a guitar. Don't be sarcastic with me if you want to discuss music theory, I'm game.
