I write love poetry; hence, my nation's name. I have pasted five of my love sonnets below. More can be found on my Web site:

Your Son Prepares My Mansion by Michael Rew

Your Son prepares my mansion, but give grace
so I may gather stones and chop the wood
to build a house and fill its walls with good,
where I may hold my wife in my embrace
and close my closet door to seek Your face,
to pray eternal habitations would
await the people of my neighborhood
and everyone beyond my dwellingplace.
The mansion which the Son of God prepares
a father, whose own Father loves to hear
a mother's lullaby and children's prayers,
is better than the mansions men revere,
and so I pray my visitors leave heirs
because the son of peace is dwelling here.

I Want to Pray with You by Michael Rew

I pray for you, but want to pray with you,
to close my eyes, and when they open, see
you sitting there in prayer across from me;
to lift up holy hands, but hold them, too;
to ask the Spirit for His touch, if two
as touching anything on earth agree,
for where the Spirit is, is liberty,
as I am free to love you, which I do.
I want to hold your hand with holiness,
to walk with you and pray with you today,
for though I pray for you, it seems so less
than when I pray with you. So I will pray.
Lord, speed the day we meet again, and bless
my friend, my sister, while she is away.

I Thank the Lord for You by Michael Rew

I thank the Lord for you, and I thank you
because each step I took in Jesus gained
through trial and tribulation faith unfeigned,
for when I turned to Him, you were there, too,
and when I turned away from Him, you knew,
and if your faithful friendship is explained,
it is because you faithfully remained
beside me when I needed someone true.
I often felt alone, but you were there,
a follower of Christ whom I could see,
who stood beside me, held me up in prayer,
and waited with me till God answered me,
for you were not ashamed of my despair,
but offered me Christ's love and ministry.

If God Could Make Twain One by Michael Rew

If ever lad loved lass, then I love you,
and ever lass loved lad, my love, love me;
for ever God could make twain one, then we;
and ever God could join together two,
what earthly thread and needle cannot do,
the grafting of two branches in one Tree,
then One will join together twain as He
joins us together faithfully and true.
Let no man put asunder what is done,
and let no woman think of us apart.
We are whom God will join together, one,
as God will take from each of us a part
to give us one, our daughter and our son,
as we will be one flesh, one mind, one heart.

In Garments of High Praises by Michael Rew

She wants to witness in these latter days
a mighty move of God, but better still,
she wants to move in Him and in His will,
to lift in higher places higher praise
so she may know Him, of His works and ways,
and let the Spirit dwell within and fill
her yielded vessel, that she may fulfill
His will and His good pleasure. She obeys.
In garments of high praises, she is dressed,
and prayers and supplications, day and night,
are offered up with thanksgiving and pressed
into His hands and side, which shall requite
her love and faithfulness, for she is blessed,
and virtuous, and pleasing in His sight.
