Are there any Catholics out there?

I was just curious, how many of you consider yourself Catholic. Especially with the Easter weekend approaching, I'm sure you all remembered Lent ;). Not that I'm one to judge. I tried giving up caffine, lasted two and half days. It was for the good of mankind I took it up again.

Well, I'm not catholic, but I know of several NS players that are.

I think there is even a nationstates vatican- it's somewhere in nationstates or international incidents.

Just a little general information for you. Catholics aren't the only faith that commemorate Lent.

This is pretty irrelevant to the topic, but I'll post it anyway, because it's something I've always been interested in knowing. And seeing as the title mentions a branch of Christianity...

Would a (presumably married) Christian who happened to be a hardcore S&M enthusiast desire to be sent to Hell when they died due to the whole eternal pain and punishment factor? Just curious. Kindly justify your reason. And apologies if this question appears to be really rude or offensive, because it's not supposed to be.

Essentially it is tailored to your own personnel horror.

Ok, with Easter approaching I have to go to confession right. And since it's been over a year since my last confession I've got alot to confess. So let's see if I still remember the Hail Mary, because Lord knows I'm gonna need it!

Hail Mary, full of Grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amoungst women.
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God.
Pray for us sinners now,
And in the hour of our death.
Amen

Am I right? Because the last thing I want is to stuff up my penance and have to start over.

Don't know if you really wanted a serious reply but I will try to give you one, as best as I can.
Your question has problems in the wording. No Christian would desire to be sent to Hell.
If S&M was the most important aspect of a persons life and that is what they revolved around, then they would not be a Christian, because a true Christians most important aspect in life is to please God and to enter into heaven. One aspect of being a Christian is to do no harm to anyone, thereby eliminating the possibility of being a Christian who was a sexual enthusiast of this nature.

Well, there is an NS vatican. Not too sure about the NS pope- I know that catholics have a NS sort of setup, but Kilean is mostly a lutheran nation of the grim prussian variety, so what do we know?

Jesus came back to Earth, or was it an Angel? I don't remember. Anyway the Blessed Virgin Mary was Assended to Heaven where she was Crowned Queen of Heaven. Also, since Man is not pure enough to touch God we pray to Mary who takes our prayers to her son. And come on, everyone knows you can't say no to your mother.

I am serious here, I have never seen the verses that say that and I am fairly certain I have read the entire Bible a few times. Is this in one of the four books the Catholic Bible has that the King James doesn't?

Also Catholics believe the Gospels did not stop after the Book of John, and we have Gospel such as the Book of Kells.

I thought that was talked about in one of my bible studies a couple of years ago.The Bible has only four Gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. However the Church has endevoured to bring us as many of the new and old Books as possible so we may have a fuller understanding of God's Word. Though, because we do not have all the Books, Catholics believe Church Doctrine to be supreme. Since the Pope is the representation of God on Earth he can guide us to God's will.

Methodist with Episcopalian backround.Ah, fair enough. Are there any major diffrences between the Weslyian Church and other Prodestant Faiths?Actually there were several differences between Episcopal and Methodist but the two faiths merged a few years ago. The Episcopal church was a lot closer to the Catholic faith than any other prodestant church. They were the first church to split off of the Catholic church many years ago.
