I know, I know, the season officially opened last week with the Yankees and Devil Rays in Japan, but the big opening day is today. And the Cubs won!

Awwww, don't take it so hard, Macrohard. Trust me, as a lifelong fan of the New Orleans Saints, there's only one way to deal with being a fan of a perpetually bad team--revel in it. Hey, at least the Mets have won the World Series more recently than most teams in the majors.

Gallup polls say interest is way down in baseball.

Whoopee, they're right.

Ever since private agency and striking umpires the whole sport is in the toilet.

However, if the Cubs make it to the series, things are bound to improve!

I think it has more to do with the owners having their heads up their asses and not being able to market the sport.

Yay, the Red Sox lost! Continuing a proud tradition of making me punch the wall!

Don't forget Pedro being a little drama queen again.

He better fucking sign. If he dances around and plays the Yankee card against us, I say we run him right out of town.

He better f--- sign. If he dances around and plays the Yankee card against us, I say we run him right out of town.I don't know--is he worth what he's going to be asking? I know the old Pedro was worth whatever he wanted, but this one looks, well, human.

I thought it was cute, the way that they had a trained chimp throw out the first ball....

I thought it was cute, the way that they had a trained chimp throw out the first ball....I was listening to the Cardinals-Brewers game, which is the one I think you're referring to--the chimp came into the booth in the fifth inning, at which time the announcers ignored the game and proceeded to fellate said guest. Ugh.

Dude, I know the Jerry Curl looks bad, but he doesn't look like a chimp.
