Lambs, definitely.
Cats are more sinewy and harder to cook. They need a stronger sauce to alleviate the slightly odd taste.

Wrong. I have never had a cat before.
But mutton is quite good, really, especially when you boil it as soup... BEST SOUP IN WINTER!
