"No, no. The Bush administration doesn't have a political litmus test! I'm a Democrat and since the only thing that means anything in politics is which party you align yourself with, obviously there can't be a litmus test. I mean, opinions on issues and the willingness to be a yes-man can't possibly have anything to do with it! Never mind that many of the extremely renowned scientists who signed the report have worked for past Republican administrations and never complained say that this is completely unprecedented tampering. Obviously, since I say so, there is no tampering. The decisions on things like environmental measures and stem cell research are completely based on science, not on Bush's personal agenda. I swear!"

LOL!

Yeah, a lot of what they point out on that site was discussed in the concerned scientist report. I just wanted to make fun of the guy, since he obviously either really is the yes-man I think he was hired to be, or is completely clueless.

He's a Christian extremist.

That means he's waiting for the Angels to come swooping out of the skies to clean up all the toxic waste...

He listens to science on some things, rather than listen to global warming scaremongering.

He worked here:

chairmanship of the governor’s commission on the Shoreham Nuclear Power facility,

as well as head of Brookhaven National Lab, where they think up new more powerful nukes, such as super condensed neutron generators.

Of course they also sponsor an Earth Day run, so they must be ok!

"The purpose of science is not to open the door to infinite wisdom, but to close the door to infinite error" Brecht

I think it was him, and I think thats what he said.
It seems that scientists don't close the door to error. As a fool has walked through it. And into 5000 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Arg don't get me going on this topic! ;)

For the shrub if it impedes business it is wrong!

That is why I keep begging you *blankety blankety blank* Europeans to get the Fuel cells going! :P

We aren't going to be serious about it because that would waste the oil incomes!

You obviously didn't click my link.. that's not the only thing Bush lies to the people about when it comes to Science! What bugs me about this attitude is the willingness to ignore scientific evidence because it's inconvenient from a political viewpoint. A political viewpoint isn't going to mean squat if we find ourselves in another ice age.

What you meant was, he listens to science on some things..... if science tells him what he already wants to hear.

Well, it's like in Civilization.

Bush is a Fundamentalist. In Fundamentalism, your science production is halved.

Try 1500 Pennsylvania Ave. I don't think a 5000 Pennsylvania Ave exists.
