Government of your Choice

Wouldn't it be interesting if everyone went and lived in a place that practices their preferred form of government for 6 months?

If you could do this, assuming there is nothing at all to get in the way (no money required to get there, no bill worries to keep you where you are, no ties of any sort that wouldn't hold for 6 months) where would you go? (Try to get as close to your preferred government as possible, some may be difficult to find.)

Keep in mind that in that place, you are just an average citizen, with whatever political influence an average citizen would have there.

I wonder how many people would choose to stay at the end of 6 months of real experience there and how many would look for a different form of governance afterwards. (That, I think, can only be answered by actually doing it. Speculation is all we have without actual experience.)

If you currently reside in a place with the government type you think best, you can so if you want. Mostly I am curious as to how many would be willing to test drive the lifestyle, and where they think is closest to ideal.

Costa Rica will become Libertarian by 2006, so I suggest that all Libertarians to move there.

Well, when our "borked" ideals are finally put into practice and are proven to work then everyone will be wanting to move to the "borked" Republica Del Costa Rica

What the hell is borked?

Okay, so I was wrong. I thought with all the people who insist their form of government is superior, some of them might be able to point to a viable example. I thought some of them might even being willing to 'test drive' the reality. Instead I hear 'won't exist for years', and 'anywhere without Bush'.

So no one can name a place that comes reasonably close to 'proving' their governmental ideals? No socialist heaven? No anarchy central? No reasonably successful dictatorship (where the people are happy too)? No place on earth uses much touted, master political schemes successfully? Wonder why that is...

And no one willing to try it out for 6 months? Not even in a place with the right label, but not perfectly managed? Telling, isn't it?

I appreciate all those who took the time to actually think about the questions and respond fully.
