If you thought I was going to try an April's Fool's joke tonight, well, you missed it last night. All business tonight.

- Shawn Macomber ponders what the real purpose of the upcoming meeting between Ralph Nader and John Kerry is.
http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=6369

- Emmett Tyrrell, Jr, may have diagnosed the Democrats' solution for John Kerry's decline in the polls. It's clever, but will it work long enough?
http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=6366

- Who was it that said the Washington Post doesn't have a liberal bias? How on earth can a poll that shows 47 percent of those polled feeling safer than they were on 9/11/01, 34 percent feeling just as safe as they were on 9/11/01 and only 18 percent feeling less safe than they felt on 9/11/01, carry a headline reading "Most Say They Are Less Safe Than on 9/11"? Can someone explain that to me?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A40571-2004Mar31.html

- Dick Morris thinks Richard Clarke actually helps George Bush's campaign, since (in his opinion,) the 2004 campaign is less about the candidates and more about 2 separate issues.
http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/opedcolumnists/17806.htm

- Larry Elder examines John Kerry's "likeability" gap, and gives some examples.
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/larryelder/le20040401.shtml

- Brent Bozell examines the claim that fighting terrorism was a top priority for the Clinton administration.
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/brentbozell/bb20040331.shtml

- Kathleen Parker writes about the "nice" way John Kerry treated the Secret Service agent that had the misfortune to trip him while skiing, last week. I guess he forgot these guys are there to take a bullet for him.

- As all of you know, yesterday (3/31/04), after much expectation, the liberal radio network started operation. Marlon Manuel, of the very liberal Atlanta Journal-Constitution, digests "The O'Franken Factor." The reviews are in, and it's not looking good for old Al. I guess he needs someone to tackle.

- Richard Mullenax looks at some polling data regarding the success of "Air America." If you have any semblance of clemency, you won't show this article to Al Franken.
http://mensnewsdaily.com/archive/m-n/mullenax/2004/mullenax040104.htm

- Nicholas Stix weighs in about the recent New York Times editorial demanding that Mayor Mike Bloomberg break the laws of the State of New York by granting same-sex marriage licenses and performing ceremonies at Gracie Mansion.

In honor of the genius of Monty Python's Flying Circus, it is my privilege to say:

And now, for something completely different,

- For you teenaged guys...if you break up with your girlfriend, DON'T do what this guy did. It ain't smart, and can land you in jail.

It's a liberal conspiracy you know.

1) Did you read the whole article?

"The survey, released yesterday by the nonpartisan Council for Excellence in Government, found that about half of respondents were concerned that terrorists would strike near their home or work. Seventy-three percent identified themselves as anxious or concerned about terrorism, and 26 percent said they were calm."

If 73 percent say they are anxious or concerned about terrorism then that is not exactly feeling safe.

2) The guy doing the headlines doesn't always "think" things out. Jay Leno would loose his headlines bit if they did! ;)

3) It's them dirty communist socialist pedophile homosexual athiest liberals conspiraring to destory the united states!

So yes I tend to prefer the post as they tend to bash everybody.....

Pardon me, but 47 + 34 = 81. That's 81% who feel just as safe or safer than they did on 9/11/01. You can be anxious or concerned, and still feel safe (or safer than you did.) I know math can be difficult for some of y'all around here, but if you use MS Windows, it includes as part of the software bundle, a very handy utility called "calculator" which will help you out. Trust me, it works.

The Black Forrest busted you there, Panhandlia. You see, he's got solid numbers from the survey, while you've only got interpretation of numbers. 73% of anxious or concerned trumps your 47+34 feel just as safe or safer, especially when you factor in that the number of those voting in the just as safe category includes everyone who was scared shitless before and are still scared now.

Thanks Panhandlia. Great links as usual. Dick Morris is also predicting Hillary will be Kerry's running mate. Can you imagine?

Gee, it was only a few years ago, Dick Morris was advising Clinton on how to get elected, and all the Libs were raving about what a genius he was.
