The U.N. is getting quite out of hand, and it is becoming hard to conform to its laws. For example, the legalization of prostitution and the resolution on proper grammar. If you are interested in starting an independent united nations, perhaps called the "People's United Nations," express your interest here. Of course, ours would not affect our nations--it'd just be fun to pass stuff.

Maybe you think I've lost it--and maybe I have--but I'm sure there are some other people out there who think it'd be fun: there are always people willing to break out on their own, away from established powers.

You could stay in the real U.N. if you like. This would just be for fun.

I have serious problems with anything that calls itself "the people's...". People's Republic of China? China hardly belongs to its people, does it. People's Princess? Princess Di was just another celebrity, no more, no less. "People's" is something I equate with two-bit populism, so what about a poll to decide the name?

Or as Will Shakespeare said, "what's in a name?"
