In South Dakota, US Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D) got some bad news yesterday when newspaper publisher and Native American activist Tim Giago announced he will oppose Daschle as an Independent. Giago had been planning to run against Daschle in the primary as a Dem. With Daschle locked in a tight contest against former Congressman John Thune (R), most votes Giago draws are likely to come at the expense of Daschle.


Lets get this snively turd out of office.

Ummmm, much as I think Daschle is sniveley and has abandoned the field to the Republicans at important times (especially in the runup to the 2002 elections), at the end of the day, he is a Democrat, and in South Dakota, Giago and Daschle in the same race likely means Thune is the next Senator, and that's bad news all the way around.

Anyone who calls himself Dush-LL instead of Dush-LEH deserves a spanking.

I don't like Tom Daschle... but I like Republicans in Congress even less. I'd prefer he stay in office, thanks.
