I think i've posted enough that i can comfortably say this but man, the anarchists on this board really need to start defending their opinions beyond one sentence statements. While i tend to enjoy the articles red arrow posts, i really would love to see a post from eitehr red arrow or letila that was longer than "it's the corporate....bush...exploit." While i often agree with the sentiments of these posts, it'd be great to see it expressed in paragraphs, with facts, or would that be corpratizing what should be a free art form through grammar?

I know, I do have a problem with short posts. I'm not sure whether TRA is actually an anarchist.

like i said, i tend to agree with the spirit of a lot of your posts, which is why i would prefer to see these ideas expanded on.

I never knew Letila was an anarchist...unless you mean in the sense of anarcho-syndicalism. Of course, I haven't talked with Letila much. I do tend to agree with Letila and TRA (I don't think he's an anarchist), being the evil hippie pinko liberal that I am :wink:

I thought everyone knew I was an anarchist. I guess I need to post that I am more. :D

From reading his posts, he actually seems to be somewhat nationalistic, unless he's trying to play on other's nationalism.

I've notices that. That's unlike any anarchist I've ever seen. A lot of neo-nazis have apparently taken to calling themselves "national anarchists", apparently unaware that racial hierarchy conflicts with the ideas of working class solidarity and opposition to all hierarchy.

I'm pretty left wing, outside of this thread(yes i appreciate the irony of complaining about this), i tend to use full paragraphs

It'd be nice if they were articulate enough to put forward the quite graceful vison of Libertarian Socalism, but much to my enduring disatisfaction, that has not been the case thus far. Instead, I find myself pushed back even further, with the barriers between communication raised yet higher, my ideas discredited by association- hence, the infrequent posting. Oh, whatever, what difference does it make anyway?

I'm far left and I find TRA a little annoying some times. I think that anarchy will be a good choice one day, when we stop killing each other. But until then, we need government to keep us straight.

I think the state isn't necessary. We will always kill eachother in a society where the highest ranking members do so with impunity.

letila, correct me if I'm wrong. You believe that no one should be bound by laws, and have the right to do whatever they want to whoever, and that justice should be handled by vigilantism... or chaos.

If you believe that it is government that prevents us from killing each other, then I think you will have to admit that it appears to be failing in its task. Do you honestly believe that the only reason you have never killed anyone (assuming that to be the case) is because you live under government control?

Some people follow laws. No laws = less people think killing someone is wrong. Just like when segreation was legal many people thought it was the right thing (separate but equal), but since we've illegalized it... many people are disgusted by the thought of it.

Is such discrimination considered disgusting because it was made illegal, or was it made illegal because people thought it was disgusting? I personally vote for the latter as someone had to think it was disgusting in order to want to make it illegal to begin with.

At any rate, law is only good for exacting punishment...those who pass laws with the intention to change behavior will always fail. Whether or not someone does something always comes down to a personal decision, which is something that a law cannot control.
