13+ with a new baby?

Ok let's say you're past the age of 13. Anywhere from 13-18 and your mom(who you live with)gets pregnant. Would you be able to cope with that? I was just exploring the possibilites of what could and what WOULD happen. I mean, it'd be impossible for me, anyway, to be able to survive with a brand new baby around.

How about you?

If you're 18, you'll be outta there before the baby arrives. So no problem there.

As for the others, I say it's better it happen then than earlier. You're past the attention-whoring days of childhood. Wouldn't you rather have her attention on something else besides you?

No because then you'd have to help with the baby and shit. lol I'm not talking in terms of them rich kids in Long Island. I'm talkin some average class kids in Queens :P

I would be perfectly fine with it! Infact, I'm always telling my parents to have another child (I mean the rest of my family is) and I would love a much younger brother or sister.

Itw better you learn what a pain kids are now so that you are wary of having them yourself so you are safer during sexual encounters in teh future.

i don't think i'd be that bothered but i doubt it would happen anyway, i already have 7 brother and sisters (only 2 of them are proper brothers and sisters, the others are my mum's husband's kids) so my family is big enough!

Don't see it as being a problem...I was about that age when my youngest sibling was born.

Babies are cute.

I'm 20 years older then my oldest sister and eeehh...22 years, I think, then my youngest sister. Babies are cute. As long as you don't have to change their diapers or potty train them.

my sister did it with me, so I should too. Though I'm used to more attention cuz I'm the youngest.

This is a beautiful quote and should be taped on a wall somewhere for its hilarious deliciousness.

well, i remember when my youngest sister was born, i was 7 and my mom was reluctant to let me hold her (she was a big baby) i had to sit down to do so... now i'd probably get to hold the kid, but i'd probably have to baby sit... and change diapers when i come home...

but then my mom's menopausal and already as 4 kids so she won't be having any more.

I wouldn't have had a problem with that if I didn't think I have enough brothers and sisters. 4 brothers on my dads side and two sisters on my moms. I'm the second oldest on my dads and first born on my moms side. But if it wasn't for that I wouldn't mind. But since I baby sit my sisters all the time another baby would basicly be a big pain ( I need to get paid for it by now Its been freak'in three years and I still don't get paid!)

i didn't used to get paid either, then one day i pretended to cry about it, now i get £20 a night for babysittin my little brother, i do earn it though, he always has friends to stay and last time he flooded the bathroom then went out leaving me to clean up!

I had to sit my brother and sister.

I was fond of them and didn't mind, they were good company when they weren't quarreling with each other.

I should never have agreed to work for free, though. Labor is worth something; workers should be paid.
