The Reasons Girls Like Guys
1. The way they always wear their favorite cologne (which happens to be the one that you bought them for their birthday)
2. The way the run their hands through out hair
3. The way that they look at you and you want to die right then and there
4. The way that they casually put their arms around you
5. The way that they kiss away your tears
6. ...and the way that they then get mad at how they can't make your problem go away
7. The way they show off around their friends, even though you both know that you would love them even if they missed a basket or two
8. How there eyes light up at the result of 3 hours of preparing for your date
9. How they always know just what to say to make you blush
10. How they sometimes think that they know just what to say to make you feel better, even if you think that it is the worst thing that they could say
11. The way they hold you close when you are cold
12. How they look at you when your mad at them and all your anger melts away
13. How they always smile when you are together
14. The way that they always let you win any game that you play together
15. ... and then when you point that out to them they pretend to not know what you are talking about
16. The way that they smile at you
17. The way that you feel when they call to apologize after you had a big fight
18. The way that they say I love you
19. The way that they say I love you in front of their friends
20. The way that they touch and hold you so gently, like they are afraid that they will break you
21. The way that they kiss you
22. The way that they open their arms to you when you are crying
23. The way that they never admit that you hurt them
24. The way that they try not to cry when they are afraid that they are losing you
25. The way that they think that they are your big protector, even though you think that you are theirs
26. The way that they say I miss you, even though they hate to admit it
27. The way that you miss everything about them when they are gone
28. The way that they remember your special moments, or aniversaries when you think that they forgot
29. The way that they apologize when they do forget
30. The way that they comfort you when you have a bad day
31. The way that you can't wait to get home and tell them all about your day
32. The way that they write you love letters even if they think that it is uncool
33. How they would rather be with you then their friends sometime
34. How you want to hug them even though they are all sweaty
35. Yet regardless if you love them, hate them, wish they would die or know that you would die without them... it matters not. Because once in your life, whatever they were to the world they become everything to you. When you look them in the eyes, traveling to the depths of their souls and you say a million things without a trace of sound, you know that your own life is inevitabley comsumed within the rhythimic beatings of his heart. We love them for a million reasons, No paper would do it justice. It is a thing a feeling, that is only felt.
I know how the poster feels....after 40 yrs of marriage to the missus.... she can still take my breath...and my heart explodes when she looks at me.
When I wake up next to her...as the sun hits her still black hair just for a microsecond..a whisper of time...as I look at her..there is that perfect moment of clarity in realizing.."Yes...I made the right choice in asking you to marry me"...
I knew she was the one...our people have a story that mankind was actuallyone person, both male and female at one time, and shared a soul...we were then split into male and female halves...and forever after man and woman look their entire lives if need be to find their "soulmate"...the one carrying the other part of their soul.

In all actuality..it is I that is the lucky one..not to many women want to stay married to an old warhorse (as Zep has christened me) for so long. It takes a very special woman to (1) Want to be a military wife, and (2) Want to remain on a reservation and raise your family there.
I long ago stood humbled before Grandfather Creator and gave thanks for the joy that is my wife.

Alright so my kindest act I can remember from recent times.
I was at the drive in with some friends, some of them girls. One girl had a light jacket on and she said she was freezing. I had a sweater on and I took it off and gave it to her. I froze my ass off the rest of the night, I mean really froze my ass off. It was 39 degrees.

Well here's your chance, come back.
the way he lets me see behind the tough facade
the way his voice gets soft when he says "I love you"
the way he cries with me even though crying is something he "never" does
the way he wants to take my pain away and gets frustrated when he can't, he doesn't know that just his wanting to do that makes me feel better.
The way he sighs when we talk about our future
the way he smells like cologne, woods, and something mysterious
the way he smiles that little grin when he sees me, even when Im at my worst.
The way his ears turn pink when I compliment
the laughter I hear in his voice
the way we can pal around and be raunchy and still wind up being soft and romantic at the end of a phone call
the way he doesnt let a day go by without hearing eachother say " I love you"
the thousand ways big and small that he lets me know the depths of his love for me. Even when it scares him he is open and honest
I love him with all my heart.
You know who you are :)
The way that our bodies entwine themselves as we dance hand in hand through fields of corn on a spring morning, birds singing melodiously and soft overtures from the sound of music sauntering through the air in a utopia of beauty, harmony and love.
Gosh I can't go on, (wipes away a tear), it really is too much.

To each one there is a person for whom such abounding love exists Cuneo..it may take heartbreak...it may take betrayal...it may take a leap of faith..but still a person exists for you...I got lucky the first time out the gate so to speak....My wife is the diamond while I'm the coal surrounding it...truly I can say that after all these years my life is just as filled as the first time I took her out on a date.
He thinks I'm sexy not cute, and desires me as a friend and physically. When they tell you that you are the most beautiful girl in the world and you know they mean it. When we stay up all night just talking or when we stay up all night making love. Just hearing his voice brightens my day, when I'm with him I glow and he really does make me beautiful.
He believes that I can and should do anything I want to do. He forgives me when I fib or outright lie. He compromises and I compromise so we can be together. He is at home playing video games, watching sports, playing sports, camping or in the theatre, art show and fine resturaunt. He always knows the perfect wine to order.
He looks great in a suit, and knows it... teehee. He cooks me dinner and breakfast.
There is nothing not to love about my guy.
And in response to an earlier post: yes all girls do like to be kissed on the neck.

Things girls need to learn:
1.. Learn to work the toilet seat. If it's up,put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us bitching about you leaving it down.
2.. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us. Just get your arse down to the gym.
3.. Don't cut your hair. Ever. Long hair is always more attractive than short hair. It causes unnecessary arguments when we dare to comment on
it.
4.. Birthdays, Valentines, and Anniversaries are not quests to see if we can find the perfect present yet again! - Valentines no longer counts
when you're married.
5.. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear. (really really listen to this one)
6.. Sometimes, we're not thinking about you. Live with it. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics
as navel lint, Rugby Lineouts, or 4WD trucks.
7.. Saturday(sunday in some places) = Sports. It's like the full moon
or the changing of the tides. Let it be.
8.. Shopping is not a sport, and no, we're never going to think of it that way.
9.. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine. Really.
10.. You have enough clothes. You have too many shoes.
11.. Crying is blackmail.
12.. Ask for what you want. Let's be clear on this one: Subtle hints don't work. Strong hints don't work. Really obvious hints don't work. Just
say it!
13.. No, we don't know what day it is. We never will. Mark anniversaries on the calendar.
14.. Peeing standing up is more difficult than peeing from point blank range. We're bound to miss sometimes.
15.. Most guys own three pairs of shoes. What makes you think we'd be any good at choosing which pair, out of thirty, would look good with
that particular dress?
16.. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.
17.. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.
18.. A headache that lasts for more than a month is a problem. See a doctor.
19.. Foreign films are best left to foreigners. (Unless it's Bruce Lee or some war flick where it doesn't really matter what the hell they're saying anyway...)
20.. Check your oil. It is an essential part of car maintenance.
21.. Your mum doesn't have to be our best friend.
22.. It is neither in your best interest nor ours to take a quiz together. No, it doesn't matter which quiz.
23.. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. All comments become null and void after 7 days.
24.. If something we said can be interpreted two ways, and one of the ways makes you sad, angry and generally hard to deal with we meant it the other way.
25.. Let us ogle. We're going to look anyway; it's genetic.
26.. You can either tell us to do something OR tell us how to do something but not both.
27.. It's not the dress that makes you look fat. It's all that bloody chocolate you eat!!!.
28.. Whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during commercials.
29.. ALL men see in only 16 colours. Peach is a fruit, not a colour.
30.. If it itches, it will be scratched.
31.. Beer is as exciting for us as handbags are for you.
32.. If we ask what's wrong and you say nothing, we will act like nothing's wrong. We know you're lying, but it's just not worth the hassle.
33.. When we are in bed and look tired, this means that we are tired. It most definitely does not mean that we want to discuss the relationship.
34.. If you want some dessert after a meal - have some. You don't HAVE to finish it. You can just taste it if you like. But don't say "No, I couldn't/ shouldn't / don't want any" and then eat half of mine.
35.. Dieting doesn't work without exercise.
36.. If you're on a diet. it doesn't mean that my meals should be rabbit food as well.
37.. A man's four essential food groups are: White meat, Red meat, Potatoes and Cold Beer. Please ensure that all meals contain a good
balance of the above in acceptable quantities - everything else falls under the category 'garnish'
38.. NEVER question our sense of direction.
39.. If you can learn all of the above, then man and woman can co-exist on a level based on love and mutual respect.
So no chicks like self-loathing, sarcastic cynical bastards who waste their time building Rockets to Mars rather than pulling out of thier perpetual trainwrecks? You know, ones that are too cowardly to admit anything?

If it's any consolation girls love assholes and fall for them time and again. Self-loathing is not a turn on, but sarcastic and cynical bastards rock my world... rockets to mars are fun and no guys admit to everything, don't all guys call women chicks sometimes? i call women chicks...

Hmm... I've always prided myself on being a sarcastic and cynical asshole-slash-bastard. I prefer writing about the general stupidity of mankind rather than building shit, though.
And as near as I can recall, I haven't called women "chicks" in the past few years, if ever. I do have a friend who engaged in this behavior nearly constantly, though- I explained to him if he persisted, I would have to gag him in public.
None of the things in the opening post apply to me, as I have never had anything resembling a remotely significant other. Some of them sound like things I would never do even if I WAS with someone.
Guess I'll just have to stick with the asshole shtick and hope someone with tastes similar to yours comes along.
There are plenty of girls like me, and there are plenty of relationship things that I never thought I would do or want to do, but then they happen naturally. Cute as puke

I disagree wholeheartedly. This is a superb movie, especially if you've broken up recently, because the whole point of the movie is that, even in the case of great pain, the proverbial juice was worth the squeeze, so to speak. One should not be afraid of that pain, but rather be willing to endure it for the greater happiness that even the most neurotic of partners can provide.
