New Songs for the U.S.A.!

Wolf Brotherhood
30-03-2004, 09:46
It has come to the attention of the leader of the citizens of Wolf Brotherhood that, in such times as these, some nations are forced to renovate key pieces of work that describe and influence the finer points of national policy. As such, I have taken the liberty to re-lyric some more popular songs and poems to better relate the state of the union of one of the world's more powerful and allegedly beloved countries.

(to The National Anthem of the U.S.A.)
My wallet tis empty, I live in poverty, in the U.S.A.
Capitalists pigs live by money, their love, their wife,
Robbed of their morality, of this we sing.

Bush took away my job, how I do hate that slob, in the U.S.A.
Murdered on foreign shores, gladly he’d start more wars,
Just for the family’s oil stocks, he sold his soul.

Stock markets hit the ground, banks can be found all around, here in my hell.
Land of the cheap and fake, polluted air and lakes,
From mountain tops to foreign shores this country is a joke.

The New Pledge!
I pledge allegiance, to the dollar, of the United Capitalist Empire.
And to the bankers, on which it stands.
One currency under Bush, in disharmony, with liberty and justice for none.

(to We Three Kings)
I, the King, of the U.S. of A.
For oil companies I will make way.
Hindus, Jews, Afghans and Iraqis,
Give me oil or you will pay.
Geysers gushing through the night,
Liquid money, oh Delight!
Robbed the needy, feeding the hungry wallets of profiteers.

Disclaimer: I apologize to those offended by the previous work. It is entirely a work of satire and created for enjoyment. The political views represented in said works is not necessarily the view of the citizens of Wolf Brotherhood or any affiliated countries.

P.S. Just cause the people don't feel that way doesn't mean the leader can't!!!
Feel free to drop me a line letting me know exactly how you feel about my little...ahem...creation.
Cannot think of a name

I can't fit the words to the tune on the first one. This frustrated me so I didn't read the whole thing. I don't think the words fit the melody, which is an important part of the satire, I would think. Now I'm just agitated..........

dammit......the second one almost fits, but then drops or adds syllables(sp). dammit dammit dammit.

that's just frustrating. If you're not going to do a better job of matching the lyrics I can't get into the commentary.

agitated..........

The first one, actually, should be to "My Country Tis Of Thee" I believe.
The second is very close. A syllable here and there doesn't make THAT big a difference on the whole.
Does that make much difference?

How about the tune of Hit me baby one more time? Sounds kinda good.

This person does NOT speak for me or any American.
Wolf Brotherhood

I AM an American. And I shall tell you what I think! I think that this whole bloody country is a bunch of half-wit sympathizers to the new-age Roman Empire! Do you even know half of what the U.S. is doing world wide? Do you know WHY? Even this shooting of the buisness men in Iraq REEKS of conspiracy! Our *BELOVED* President is picking his father's fight all over again! I am VERY willing to believe that the whole thing was staged. The people did die, but I believe that the killers were paid off by Bush Co. to do so. The timing is just too convenient considering the upcoming election. I don't care what the Country singers like Toby Keith say, we have NO buisness in Iraq. If they supplied weapons to Bin Laden or shelter, then we can get them LATER! Our FIRST PRIORITY should be Bin Laden, and even THAT should wait until we've got OURSELVES under control! Look at the economy! Look how many people can't afford grocieries because the economy sucks so badly! It's SAD! I'm lucky! I'm a bartender, so my job is safe no matter what everyone else's economic status, because even in the deepest depression they'll go out boozin'!
My views are not the views of all Americans. My views are the views of those insightful enough to look beyond what all the propaganda says! My views are those of the people not blinded by money, hatred, vengeance, or unneccessary oil-wars that are designed to make Bush Co. richer!
So, before you say "Nor any other American" maybe you'd better open your eyes you poor blind fool, and stop kissing the rear of the people in charge. Tell me, does your money make you feel better at night? Does it help you forget how many innocent people DIE because our country can't mind its own buisness? If so, may whatever god(s) you believe in have mercy on you in the afterlife.
Felicita

Wolf,

You aren't doing anything productive to help out all of these starving people who can't afford to buy groceries. You aren't doing anything to help all of these innocent people who die, because 'our country can't mind it's own business.' You aren't any less blinded by money, hatred, and vengence than any other person here. Look at you - you hate Bush.

Everything you wrote (the poems) - were just as relevant in 1992, or 1995, or in 2000, as they are today. There were just as many people on foodstamps, just as many people on welfare, and just as many people in this country that complained about everything in those years, as there are now. As for your job security - remember reading about prohibition?

The economy doesn't suck. It's absolutely amazing that the US economy is in as good of shape as it is today, after 9/11. It's the American people as a whole that build, drive, and make this such a great place to live have the ability to choose a new leader every 4 years as we wish.

Also, there's not a need to apologize to anyone offended by your work. It's your right as a citizen of a free nation to say what you wish. It's your lucky day. You're an American.

I don't HATE Bush. I think he's a lowsy president and a capatalist swine, but I do not HATE the man. I think he's a halfwit buffoon that would do a better job were he clothed in a multi-pointed hat with dangling bells upon their ends and pointy-tipped shoes with the same type of bells. He'd make a great jester, what with tales of weapons of mass destruction and blaming the intelligence service for wrong info.
CONVIENIENT, isn't it, how he blames it on people who cannot defend themselves for it would mean death to those they love and care about. CONVIENIENT, isn't it, how this pops up JUST IN TIME for reelection? No sir, I do not hate our president. I think him a flop-eared warthog-faced buffoon incapable of running a country without telling the truth to the country.
TRUTH: The United States IS, in fact, a better place to live than, say, Zimbabwe or Afghanistan. HOWEVER... It has come to my attention that, and I quote, "The thing that seperates a dictatorship from a democracy is propaganda." Uncle Sam? Propaganda. Communist Threat? Propaganda. Need I go on? There're dozens of other examples.
The U.S. has no buisness going over there like we do. If we would be asked for aide, I see no harm in giving it. But we do not find it convienient to sit and wait to be asked. We charge right in, Old Glory flying high, to mess around with everyone elses buisness! What a load of crap! If the world would be threatened, TRULY THREATENED, by someone like Bin Laden or Saddam, I see no harm in going in and putting a stop to it. But why did they attack us in the first place? Because WE CAN'T MIND OUR OWN BLOODY BUISNESS!!!!! They are a problem for their people, but if we wouldn't barge in the people would start to fight back on their own if they didn't like how they were being treated. We could infiltrate with spies and let them know that, should they decide to resist, they would recieve aide if they asked for it. But that never seems good enough for us. We have to go in, guns blazing, and start bombing the hell out of everyone from 25 miles off!
If today there were no guns, just swords and bows, I have no doubt that this would be a better world. Missiles have de-humanified the world's people. Warriors in the olden day looked into their opponents' eyes when they died. They KNEW who they killed. They put a face to it. Now we don't know, nor do we even CARE, who it is that dies, so long as it's them and not us. What the hell kind of creatures have we become?

Anyone who thinks this economy is great right now, OPEN YOUR EYES! So many people laid off, no jobs, out of unemployment pay, with no one to care for them. And we STILL have a bunch of inner-city PRICKS having babies for money! They get Welfare if they keep their wives pregnant! What the HELL is that! I've heard tell of a family with 13 children. They live in poverty, but they get enough money via Welfare to buy booze and drugs! Hurrah for that! I despise money. My goal in life is to found a new country, a True Communism with no dictator in charge, where all people are equal. I don't know if I have the strength in me to accomplish this deed, but so help me I mean to try!

Heck, the bomb attacks aginst the civilians could very well also be staged by Bush his henchmen. As an effort to convince the Shi'tes and others that the continued presence of US troops is required.

Well, it's just very wierd that terrorists would bomb the people they claim to be fighting for and thereby helping their enemy. It just doesn't make sense. Especially since most Shi'ites where on their side before the bombings. I could understand that they would go after officials who are working with the US but random violence against their own civilians?

Idunno. I'm kinda liberal (I think...). I lean more towards True Communism, where everyone is equal and deserves an equal share of everything. That's why it pisses me off that Bush and his oil buddies are trying to strike it rich by invading other oil countries. They have no right to be rich and have everyone bow and scrape to kiss their rear ends.

And? I do it too, and I was born and raised in the U.S. as well. (the guy who runs Wolf Brotherhood is my brother so I KNOW he is American) And guess what? My NationStates country name is in French! Does that make me less American? So how does using "a very UK phrase" make him less of an American? The only un-American thing about him is that he uses his brain (which MOST, but not all Americans either can't or refuse to do).

Well, i guess he forgot that using the brain part when he implied the national anthem was My Country Tis of Thee. Or he forgot to check it before copying and pasting. Either or. I wasn't making an accusation, i was merely pointing out some coincidences.

If you honestly believe that most Americans don't use their brains, then i pity you. That someone can claim this is rediculous; it's a poor ruse to make intolerance for a difference of opinion sound like a matter of intelligence.

Making one poor decision (the one being Iraq, otherwise I stand behind the president, despite the fact that that one decision was a glaring and especially poor one) makes you a bad person? If you want to say he's made more than one bad decision and instead call him "dumb" and say that dumb people are bad people, you're just alienating yourself to EVERYONE (Republicans for saying Bush is dumb and Liberals for saying dumb people are bad)

To answer some questions...
Yes, I'm American. Yes, I made those songs up myself. No, I don't think dumb is evil, but dumb should not be given power to rule others.
Now then, Puppet, your name suits you well. You seem to be a perfect example of a steriotypical puppet dancing to the strings of propaganda. I'm sure you're a GREAT capatalist, probably playing loud music in a fancy car that your mommy bought for you without caring about the rest of the world. When I say "bloody" I remember that America was an English colony (or, more correctly, a collection there-of). It's a much nicer word than others I could think of, and saying it that way keeps me from getting banned from the forums.
Let's look at the things that the blind buffoons don't see, the things that are hidden from them.
First of all, Bush is a capatalist pig. Plain and simple. He is willing to trade lives for oil, not for the sake of the oil, but for the money that he can bring in for his profiteering buddies from the big oil companies.
Second, the economy STILL sucks! Sure, it's better. Clinton years had a much better economy. His was the first plan to balance the budget and decrease national debt that actually WORKED in the past Lord-only-knows-how-many years! Bush came in and, given 3 months in office, screws up the economy AND decides to take a vacation!!! Give me a break!
As for screwing up the title of the first song, it was a simple error. My bad. I apologize for the confusion. Deal with it.
Argue with me all you want about how "Great and Terrific is the U.S.A.!" I know better. Our beloved dictator will next do what, start shooting Jews? Why not! He's already started on the Arabs!
I will forever stick to my current beliefs about the Bush Regime. If he wants to get a hostile dictator who is a threat to global security out of power he should resign now and save us the trouble of dealing with it later!

I AM an American. And I shall tell you what I think! I think that this whole bloody country is a bunch of half-wit sympathizers to the new-age Roman Empire!
[cut for length]

An American who uses the word "bloody" to describe anything but a cut or wound (a very UK phrase when used as you did)... who doesn't know the national anthem... and who assumes it is to the same tune the British national anthem, "God Save the Queen." How curious that is.

You know what I mean by that? I mean that most American's are too stupid, fat, and lazy to look into the truth. Instead they'll sit back and believe that everything the government-owned news-reports tell them is fact. How can ANYONE believe that our country wouldn't hide the truth! We've become the annoying old neighbor peeping through the windows and poking our noses where they aren't wanted! This is not a "Bewitched!" rerun! Annoying busy-body neighbors are not required to keep the show interesting! The whole point of this rant is, we weren't wanted and we went in anyway. The civilians don't really want us. The government deffinatly doesn't want us. So WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING THERE!?!?!

That's called Utopian Socialism dude.

Humanity can't do that right now.

Mankind has this thing called Greed that it can't get rid of.

Not ready for Utopian Socialism

Blah blah blah, edited for length

Yep, your prognostications are dead on again. That Plymouth Horizon i drive is definitely a "fancy" car complete with rust spots and a cracked winshield. It's the envy of everyone... the guy who runs the scrapyard, homeless people, etc. And my loud music... well, i've gotten complaints from the neighbors when i crank up the Vivaldi i listen to and my classic rock or jazz cds. Nothing gets the neighbors more riled up than when i turn on the CSNY, Bob Seger, or Dave Brubeck... those youthful rapscallions! Yep, i'm just one of those new-fangled 20+ year olds. I see you've got me pegged donw here.

In case you missed it, Capitalism won... Communism lost. The world is a capitalist place, and i am proud my leader is a capitalist. Good for him; his family saw the opening and succeded. I subscribe to the free-market capitalist theory, and it has done me no wrong as of yet. I've subscribed to the theory for as long as i can remember, long before Bush's advertisements. What people need to realize is that Bush is but one President... at most he'll have 8 years. And after that, the world will not end, chaos will not reign. Another person will be elected and everyone will carry on, just as this nation always has. I see both sides of the argument, i just believe one side has a better plan. I may not be the current president's biggest fan, but in my opinion, he's still the best choice of the lot; when i don't care for any real contending candidate, i fall back on the Party whose ideals more closely resemble mine.

As to the rest of the world, if they don't affect me directly, then what do i care? Let them all butcher, torture, rape, pillage, steal, and starve each other. America will be there to pick up the pieces. And if we make a tidy profit, so what? Who else will help out? No one. Don't like it, then rebuild your own country.

And you remember the American Revolution? Well, allow me to wish you a happy 228th birthday.

Capitalism didn't exactly win.. remember the Vietnam war? I certainly remember all the American propaganda about it.. destroy those nasty commies and all that, mostly because the US wants to be a new imperial power and take over the world, and they learned well from the Roman example that the best way to do that is trade, and Comunist countries don't seem to want to trade as much since they don't need money (true communism here, not russian)

Oh really...then that whole Berlin Wall being torn down by both East and West Germans with the help of Communist East German Border Guards meant nothing..of the coup by Soviet Hardliners that was put down by Reformist elements...that whole breakup of the Soviet Union..and the gradual change in economies in China...nope..nope...Capitalism didn't win..
Capitalism won in a big way to my thinking.

Wow! This board's still here! I'm amazed. No, I don't think capitalism won in the Berlin Wall being torn down, I think democracy won, which is completely different fom capitalism. The democracy won out over the dictatorship, but communism is not the same thing as a dictatorship.
