I really liked .Hack// Sign but Cowboy Bebop is pretty cool. My favorite movie has got to be X, now that was awesome.
30-03-2004, 00:32
I only just started watching .hack//sign. It looks pretty good, but not what I'd call my favorite. DBZ used to be my favorite, but each saga was getting exponentially worse than the previous. Gundam Wing was good all the way though. Cowboy Bebop has a lot of great stuff, especially the music 8) Trigun has its moments. I've only seen a few movies, all of which were good. But asking which anime is my favorite is like asking which pair of socks I like better, the white ones, or the white ones that came in the same pack.

Anime/Manga, a fine subject.
Evagelion is good, I especially enjoy the manga form of it. I have only read up to vol.5, but it's growing on me.

When it comes to movies, of the few I've seen i have to say Princess Mononoke, come back to me on that one though.

Witch Hunter Robin is EXCELLENT! A must see in my opinion. It's on Adult Swim of Cartoon Network for those who have cable. Unfortunatly it only has 26 total episodes, much to my grievance:(. Highly recommend

right ho, thanx for listening to me babble!

Have you played the .hack games for PS2?No, and I'm done with videogames expenditures for a while. I just purchased Drakenguard recently and I have college to pay for among other things. Basically I'm tapped for cash. I read some reviews and was interested in it for a while, but the way they released it into four different games is a big turn off for one strapped for cash.

Hey, a couple weeks ago I came up with a nice and easy test to help determine how popular an anime, well any cartoon, is. First one who can guess what it is wins a cookie. Well not all animes can use this test. There are some that this test will not work for. Reasons will be obvious once revealed.

Show: Cowboy Bebop
Movie: Princess Mononoke

Me too; Spirited Away is another great movie, same director.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no. But you're sort of on the right track though.

Here's another hint. It's nothing that boring. ^_^

.Hack//Sign is definitely cool, so is the X movie. I have the manga for X as well. :D

I've only seen the first few Cowboy Bebop episodes, but I liked them a lot.

Thanks for listening!

Top 5

2 Azumanga Daioh
3 Ghost in the shell - Stand alone complex
4 Gasaraki
5 Chobits
Utopio
30-03-2004, 09:52
Anything by Hayao Miyazaki: Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service and My Neighbor Totoro are all breathtaking.

And no mention of Anime could be complete without the presence of Katsuhiro Ôtomo. One word: Akira. Also his take on Metropolis is pretty damn cool.

Ghost in the Shell and Evangelion are also damn good. Ghost in the Shell 2 is scheduled to come out pretty soon methinks...

I know far too little anime for my liking. :(

Trigun is very good. However, I really like the similarly well-defined Rurouni Kenshin. The best entertainment is that which involves comedy with a twist of conflict driven by human issues. Coming along in third is .hack//sign for pure sci-fi entertainment value.
