Okay, people. A warning system may be set up so this region is a little more organised. This would mean you will get a certain amount of warnings before you get banned. Also, some people will definitely be getting official titles, just to add to the entertainment :D :D

Nope, some of the stuff that will be discussed doesn't fit under that. Most people in the region mentioned know each other offline as well, and will probably want to discuss non-gameplay things.

I request all UN members to withdraw their endorsements for the time being. Commencing on the day after SAT's (hopefully although this may be postponed) we will begin a debate as to who should be UN delegate for this region. Once this delegate has been chosen, I will turn ON regional control so that me and the UN Delegate can help to look after and develop our region appropriately. Debates will begin on Tuesday 11h May (i think) when all UN members who wish to be considered should post (on this forum) an election statement saying how they will help the region etc.....
We will then vote (in a secret ballot) i.e. all votes (1 per person) should be sent on certain specified dates (TBA) by telegram to me, stating who you want to be delegete. I will then tell you who has won and all UN Member states must endorse this person. Then, 1 month later, new elections will begin. Note: Once the first delegate has bn chosen regional control will be turned ON! If more than 5 people complain about an abuse of power/ threatening/ whatever from the new delegate we may hold new elections.....we will see.....
Anyway, I wish you good luck and start planning your speeches!!!!!!

I thought that once we have chosen a UN Delegate EVERYONE has to endorse them and nobody else..........the trouble is if I allow regional control our region might be invaded ie. some people enter the region, endorse each other and become UN Delegate........
Should I:
a) Put a password on the region although this would slow our growth
b) Check nationstates as often as possible to make sure this doesnt happen

I WANT TO KNOW: Do we want more nations or do we want to keep the region exclusive (if so, some kickin out of nations may be necessary)

OR, should I let anyone in BUT only if they participate (this seems fairer).

I'd like the date to be sometime soon. I'd suggest doing elections every so often and holding emergency elections if there are enough complaints about the delegate.

I suggest that if 5 members complain bout the un delegate in a fortnight then a state of emergency is declared, the un delegate loses access to regional control and elections take place in at least 2 weeks.

Nope, it's in the right place. It's the lack of posting that's the problem. If more people posted, it would fit perfectly in General, especially considering the insanity of some of the SotSA people.

I would like to formally announce my interest in applying for the post of UN delegate.

If appointed I would pursue primarily right-wing policies - this does NOT mean I am racist. I am prepared to listen and uphold the rudiments of democracy.

I believe I should be appointed by default, Tim, if no candidates step forward in the next 2 weeks.

I believe Niall it should not be by default as I am going to stand to be UN Delegate against you.

I'm not going to stand for election. However, I formally declare my support for Niall, on the condition he doesn't follow the ideas set out by Mark after school today. Failing that, I support no-one.

I have all ready announced it on the main area page, but I shall also state it here that i wish to stand as UN delegate. I shall make decisons that will benifit the region as a whole. I will be more than willing to listen to others in order to make the right decision.

I would like to express my gratitude to gyderia.

I would also like to say that if I was made delegate, I would set up a two-person council, tim and a loyal supporter, whose duty it is to over-rule the deleagate on any issue and dismiss him from his post if necessary.

I would like to express my pleasure at becoming delegate, albeit on a caretaker role for now.

What my aims are now and if my administration continues are what I have previously mentioned and 2 other urgent matters.

Firstly, though my slogan is Niall - you can't get much worse!

My main aim is recruitment, I will scour the world in an aim to get great nations to join us. I would also urge members to join the UN - the more UNmembers we have the more powerful a nation we are.

Also there is a major world problem:

In 1974 - 500 thousand
In 1984 - 1 million
In 1994 - 2.5 million
and now in 2004 - 9 million.....


Wilderbeast are unemployed.

I aim to get these wilderbeast back into employment thanks to extensive re-education programs. i am about to submit a proposal of wilderbeast rights to the UN.

I wish to implent a SOTSA Council, consisting of the permanent members NuclearFallout, Gyderia and Denethorath. It also consists the UN delegate until his/her office ends.

The council reserve the right to dismiss the UN delegate for abuse of power and set up an acting delegate until new election time. The members of the council may also, on majority vote, over-rule a decision made by the delegate.

Unless there are objections by Sunday 23rd May at 20.00 I declare the ouncil to come into immediate effect. If there are objections, the idea will be revised.

I believe that unless other candidates put forward some better and more detailed points the elections will be a one horse race.

I am all for wilderbeast employment and REALLY LIKE THE IDEA OF RECRUITMENT OF MORE GREAT NATIONS (ALTHO THEY MUST BE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE).

We are very low on nations and unless i hear more from other candidates i willl declare Denthorath as the UN Delegate with immediate effect, as i believe he will benefit the region.

Hey, this is the nation Alcase and Lorraine. My name is jordan, but everyone calls me Seems.

Fellow Nations,
I am standing for election for this fine region on the 21st June, and i believe it is the time for a better region. This is a growing region with many different opinions, if i am elected it will be my job to make sure all opinions are taken into consideration before a final decision is made by me and other important nations.

One important issue is making the growing nation grow by even more, i will make it my responsibility to ensure there is a strong recruitment agency, not derided over by one nation, but many - possibly a good 20% of the nations in our region. This will ensure we get the maximum amount of nations joining our ever important region.

I will also attempt to make sure that more and more nations in our region become members of the UN, whilst this may not suit their individual needs, they will need to make this sacrifice to ensure that they make our region stronger. With more UN members we have more endorsements, which will mean our nation looks and is stronger.

In this every growing world defence becomes more and more important. Recently we have seen troubles in various parts of the world, we need to make sure that those troubles do not come to this region. I have friends in important places around the world, if you elect me when that probably event of an attack occurs i assure you that we will be properly defended.

Remember, defence, power and recruitment...those are three main areas i will employ if you elect me.

I do not wish to bore you with long statements, so I shall be brief and to the point.
1. If elected UN delegate, I shall make sure that everyone in this fine region of ours is given their voice in any decisions to be made
2. If elected UN delegate, I shall not abuse my power and throw nations out if they do not agree with something. Difference and argument is always the way forward, and compramises to which everyone is agreed is what I shall seek.
3. If elected UN delegate,I shall make sure this nation of ours is secure, yet still open to expansions. More views on topics can only be a good thing, and a better outcome will be gained in decision making will be made.

Therefore, I leave you with this one thought, elect me UN delegate, and I shall make sure that everyone is listened to and involved in decisions that are needed to be made.
