Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted House.... well really that's it. But is this an emerging trend? Like crappy remakes of 80s TV series and sequals to movies I parents thought were old. If so, I'm bring Walt Disney backt o life to knee him the balls!

But this new trend is just weird. What make a person (or writer rather) see a ride and go; "You know what? With Eddie Murphy I could make a movie out of this"and finally pay of my debt to Satan!"

More likely is that they have run out of original ideas, if they had any in the first place. :D

Thrill to the excitement of the overpriced lemonade stand!

Scream at the outrageous prices in the Main Street stores!

Laugh at the long lines of frantic people fidgeting outside the rest rooms!

Coming soon to a theatre near you!

I think the first attraction-into-movie for Disney was "The Country Bears". Gaaaack.

It's the wonders of cross-promotion. A smart business tactic, really.

Every time a new Disney theme park opens, it's profiled on Good Morning America and The View on Disney-owned ABC. ABC star Drew Carey is featured in a ride at Disney-MGM studios. The movies, television networks and theme parks are not only stand-alone products, but commercials for all the other Disney products available. Cross-promoting the parks through the movies is simply an extension of this concept.

The question is, will the public grow weary of this tactic? Will we reach Disney-saturation and backlash, or will the empire grow even larger? Any businessy-types care to venture an opinion?

No, you tard, he had it rght in the beginning. In the examples he used the rides came before the movies.

Actually, all of this repositioning by Disney is to gird their loins for their biggest challenge yet... their role in the secret UN plan to bring peace to the Middle East...

We are going to all wake up one day and find that the squabbling, murderous inhabitants of Israel/Palestine/Lebanon/Syria are all going to be replaced by ... cast members of the world's largest theme park... HolyLand™!

When we buy our tickets, walk around the sites, ride the rides, we will ask... where are the REAL Israelis and Palestinians? And we will be met with vague smiles and mumbling about how they "just wouldn't fit in here" - and there will be peace. And it will be perfectly clean.
