It's a satire about an economic Dystopia. Decent read too. I recommend getting the UK version though, I don't like it when editors mispell colour.

Max is Australian, thus I imagine it was first published here, and we use colour...

in canada its colour, probably its colour in all english except the US - i dislike the american spelling of neighbour (neighbor) - seems like a different word like you would pronouce it differently
