I'm an avid reader, used to be writer, of fan-fiction of various fandoms.

I'm curious... does anybody here write fan-fiction for Jennifer Government?

I haven't, personally, but someone out there must...

It's fictional stories surrounding the continuation of events or characters from a particular fandom (i.e. medium).

For example, I write a story centered around Jennifer going aftera new, creation of mine, Jack Compaq, for implanting computer chips into his customers and forcing them to buy only HP products.

Exactly, except, it's not just for books. It's for all entertainment.

Yep. Pretty much any entertainment medium is used.

Some of it is really perverse though, like people writing porn and such, but for the most part, fan-fiction is a very tasteful art.

It's a way for fans to express themselves in a particular way about a fandom that the show just doesn't go into enough detail about.

Or it could be as bad as pairing Harry with Draco and giving it an R rating in the Harry Potter category :lol:

Exactly, UP! See what I mean, that's why I love writing it, because you can explore so many avenues that the book just didn't cover.

I've never actually written fan-fiction for this particular fandom, as I'm not as well-versed in JG as I'd like, and I do fear I'll just make Max (if he reads it) shudder with horrible chills. :wink:

Anyways, here's what I got so far...

She looked at her daughter, then him, and back to her daughter. He'd be back, she thought, he'd be back... and so Jennifer Government walked away from John Nike forever - or so she thought - until she looked back on that last day, the day she'd won, and sighed.

I have to go back and reread JG in a few places, just to get her character right though... I'm trying, guys, but by the time I reread JG about a million times and write some stories, maybe Max'll let me write a sequel! :wink:
