The film rights for the novel Jennifer Government (http://www.maxbarry.com/jennifergovernment/), optioned almost 2 years ago by Steve Sodergergh and George Clooney, have just been renewed.
You heard it here first, people. :)

Which leads me to wonder, is that how the site's being paid for?
Why isn't it on imdb.com yet?

Heh... tell those bums to get to work and make the movie!
And to give Max another advance! :P
Well, from what I've picked together from vague news posts by Max, the screenplay is being written, or might have been finished by now.

Yay! Glad to hear that the possibility of a JG movie is really possible and not just rumour.
This also means I get paid for doing nothing at all, a new experience for me, but one I could definitely get used to. I would work towards having this happen more often, but I think that defeats the point.
Good.... then you have more time to work on NS2, Mr. Barry. There's no excuse now

I'm one of those poor people who have yet to read "Jennifer Government" but LOVED Syrup, and was wondering if it was too controversial for a movie??

Was the Pepsi kid black? I always imagined him to be white with messy dark brown hair (countering those who thought he should be played by Marshal Mathers).
I'd be open to be Extra #3095. High School, Community Theatre acting experience. #1 voice actor in Natrualisma.

Hmm, somehow I don't think we would probably get roles in the movie.
I wanna be an extra in the movie.. one of the angry rioters in the Burger King/McDonalds clash, yep. I could be a corpse or something, even.
